• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Since we've been discussing "chunky gals" quite a bit lately, here's about a quarter inch at the spine's worth of forged 52100 goodness by master smith Dan Farr. Mortised sheep horn handle is wonderfully warm and grippy.

Reminds me of my old Buckmaster (184?). Bought the OG release, before they made the versions with the stamped sides (blood groove? Lol).

Impressed all my buddies, until we realized the sawback design sucks. The wood saw on my little Swiss Army Knife easily outperformed that sawback.

On a sidenote, back when the hollow handled 'survival knives' were all the rage after 'First Blood' came out, a different buddy bought an Aitor Jungle King. Now THAT thing actually had a usable sawback (and a usable slingshot built into the sheath 😮).

I'd like to see it. I don't remember when he built mine, I believe it was the first in that pattern, but it's been more than 10 years and I'd have to search for a record of it. It was before he had his MS stamp.
the one I had was probably built around the same time, pretty much identical pattern from what I remember. Also 52100. It was an awesome knife, glad I had it while I did
