Wow! That handle is nuts. Does he describe the construction of this one in his sub?
Is that a section of stacked leather? (nevermind I see the specs in the Blade page)

You'll be happy to know, there's a whole WIP thread! 👍

The alternative ivory material is amazing looking! Most laypeople would be fooled by it. The maroon sections are Paperstone, and the hardware is all nickel silver.

I totally get that. After numerous close calls myself, I have pretty much concluded I'm not all that interested in road riding anymore. I'm thinking of selling my GS and getting a light trail bike to explore the backroads and trails around where I live, something that will allow me to take light overnight gear.
I sold my GS1150 and HD FXRS 10 years ago. I love riding and had 17 bikes through the years, but the riding season up here is sort and I realized that riding only 4-6 months per year wasn’t worth it. My skill wasn’t as sharp, and drivers aren’t as aware as when bikes are on the road more (plus the gravel left over from winter lasts a long time since we don’t salt roads). I do miss long rides along the Seward Hwy, but getting off road on wheelers, SxS, and snowmachines makes up for it and my wife enjoys hers as well. I would love a Rokon for some areas.

Nice photo, as usual .... BTW, how do you like that multi-tool ? Been wondering off and on and one doesn't see it a lot ....

I just got it the other day so I'm giving it a good run - might even do a review and put it up here on BF.

A quick (or not so quick) summarization:

I think it's a very well designed piece of kit, the tools and such are robust and well thought out. The modular nature of it gives one the ability to truly make a multi-tool to suit their individual tastes and needs - I think this will really come into its own once they have more tool options and such available. They don't specify steel type but in Greg's video, they will be made in either S35vn or S45vn, with titanium hardware - good stuff going into these (I think mine is S45vn). Also, it's 100% made in the USA, which is a singular point of pride for the folks at Medford.

Now for the flip side - with all the other premium materials being used, I am puzzled at their choice of injection molded plastic for the covers. Granted, it allows them to print whatever they want and give their users lots of options but it makes the tool feel cheap and plasticky - I'm not into it, especially for a knife that comes with a premium price tag.

I have no doubt that there will be more robust scale options in the near future so it isn't going to worry me too much, it's just a bit irritating right now.
