The DEK2 just seems awesome, but that Magnate looks great too!As of right now, either the Swamp Rat Camp Tramp or SYKCO DB-421. I just got a SYKCO Dog Soldier 8 that gave an amazing initial impression, but I haven’t used it yet. My favorite carry knife is obviously the DEK2.
they’re both great, I prefer the DEK2.The DEK2 just seems awesome, but that Magnate looks great too!
I have a hard time finding anything I prefer more than a CPK these days. They're just so good.they’re both great, I prefer the DEK2.

I love the looks of the ferox thatferider posted, but I'm just not a big fan of cpm154.
The meatcrafter looks interesting, but again, it boils down to steel choices.

I call it guanabana, the store called it soursop, I think it's pretty much the same as a big cherimoyammm. cherimoya - my favorite exotic fruit.
Huh... soursop. Haven't heard of/seen it in ages. Tried it while in South East Asia.I call it guanabana, the store called it soursop, I think it's pretty much the same as a big cherimoya
That's fair. I've used plenty of cpm154, but not with a custom heat treat. Since stainless isn't a big concern for me, cpm-154 doesn't seem to offer anything I need that d3v doesn't cover. You are missing out, I like CPM154: a nice compromise of toughness and edge retention, much like S35VN, but - for me - easier to sharpen. And once a custom maker has dialed in a steel, and likes to use it, I trust them .... similar to me liking AEB-L from Nathan and Paul.
Chris makes the Ferox in tool steel, too, cheaper and easier to get if that's an option ....

I don't think that's a bradford. I think it's a volunteer knife, unless I'm wrong. Sometimes you can grab one in the knifemakers section of Blade forumsDid the Bradford come with the S-grind?
