The shearing hole is for the following purpose as per https://www.skookumbushtool.com/

“More Kochanski has also suggested drilling a shearing hole near the tip of the blade where you insert a nail or pin to act as a pivot point. When set up properly the knife is used in a shearing action similar to a flat bed paper cutter for cutting up multiples of whatever one might need such as a bunch of toggles for buttons, tarp tie downs etc. or for processing large quantities of food items.”

我想你们有些人可能会有兴趣看看 Free Rein 28 和 K20 的对比。Free Rein 的刀刃略短，手柄略长（这感觉还不错），而且我比其他 Busse 同类产品更喜欢这款手柄的设计。不过，它缺少 K20 那种精巧细致的雕刻。FR 刀刃上奇怪的痕迹是 Busse 用渔网装的，我期待着用它们来测试一下，看看它们有什么区别。
