Congratulations on ^that^ score...

Also noticed that you were trying to pick up a pretty neat RJ Martin Folder a couple of days back. Hope that worked out for you and perhaps you'll share some photos ;)

CPK EDC1 comparison to an Austin Goldman Unnamed. The AG gets used a lot around the house, while that EDC goes where I go. I enjoy the patina of carelessness that has matured on the O1 AG. I'm going to start carrying one of my 4V EDCs to try for a nice patina.

Here is my pair of Gallardo Pocket Buddy stunners. MikeKu825 MikeKu825 noted the red liner one on IG. Now you know where it ended up. Chatoyance on the purple is stunning in person but I can't capture it.

Both are Maple Burl, dyed.

AEB-L @ 62RC.

Linen micarta bolsters, canvas micarta liners and spacers and the blue & red is G10. Carbon Fibre lanyard tube.

Kinda complicated handles, but flawless. Fit amazingly well. Just barely fit my size L hand, but big enough to use comfortably.

Hahaha.. I DMd josh last night after I saw your post on IG! He offered to make me a Rhino.. so I'm a happy camper! I was going to ask him about that red/black PB.. glad to see you picked it up!

The Sasquatch's are not a Available for trades! They have a no trade clause in their contract:p However Comcast in presently working on my connection, We have a business account here at the house and were informed our Modem had been recalled, and their was water in the connection causing a slowing of the Connection! I may become faster (shrug) Just Don't know yet;)
Grats on the Sasquatch!

Maybe trade one for a BC?!

My money is on the BC for average guy. I'm confident Nathan's collab competition cutter will improve Dan's performance. Nathan has the design skills, Dan had the choppin' skills.
Honestly, I would say the Sasquatch. I've used it and that thing is stupid. It really just glides right through everything.

I don't think the BC would be very far behind it at all though!

I am not going to even touch the Subject of "Which is best" been down that road too many times! Would love to try a BC, but I know what the Sasquatch will do-Cheers:thumbsup::cool:
Here are a couple of Videos for your viewing enjoyment! Included the Chopping Video with Nathan's LC for New people to this forum who may have missed it!
As Nathan would say this is "Dan being Dan"

My collaboration competition cutter is based as closely as possible on the geometry of Dan's racing knife. I've fabricated some specialized grinding tooling to try and duplicate the geometry on his bevels. I ground Jo's racing knife with it today and I feel it was successful. She'll compete with it this weekend.

My BC is pretty badass and will out-chop a competition cutter (I've cut 2X4s in half in five whacks with one which is the best I've ever done) but I have no delusions it would hang with a Sasquatch. The geometry and dimensions on the Sasquatch are derived from a racing knife and scaled up to a monster cutter. It's longer and wider than the BC and although it has a thicker geometry at the spine it has a higher grind so it's actually not functionally a thicker knife. The Sasquatch is a highly tuned cutter developed by a world champion who knows the subject matter probably as well or better than anyone in the business.

Agreed. But it also seems to wear the user out quick in videos. I don't expect Dan to use a BC to a greater effect than a Sasquatch. But I don't expect your average person to chop as well as Dan. Even Dan's friend using it who clearly has some instruction directly from Dan has trouble handling it. The thing is clearly a beast.

In my experience mass has limits. It pushes the envelope of an individuals strength and technique. Here more isn't always better.

That's why I was saying I think the average person would do better with the BC, not that the BC is the better Chopper of the two with regards to outright performace.

Personally I'd take an axe to fell a tree. Watching his friend land those wonky hits makes my wrists hurt.

JMHO!
