Best action you've felt to date?

Of the knives I own, the smoothest feeling action comes from the bushings on the Machinewise Senora.

My Spyderco Kapara is comically smooth.

Always thought the Kapara looked like a silly knife... then a friend of mine let me have a look at his, and the quality swayed me. Not only is it actually a really cool design, but the action on his was also mind blowingly smooth.

Koenig Arius - best detent
MW Mojave - fastest action
CR large Inkosi - smoothest, most enjoyable

Spyderco Gayle Bradley 1
Spyderco Techno 1 (execution on this knife was near perfection in every way)
Cold Steel AD10 original version.
I’ve never tried the higher end knives, so I have no experience with those.

I’ve held and owned a lot of knives and it’s hard to narrow it down to just one.

For a flipper, Andre Thorburn is great, some Reates are up there too like the Tiger,

Thumb stud/opener, Spartan SHF, Mcnees, Microtech Socom, all fantastic.

Autos, G&G Hawk Deadlock, Core Edge Pulsar, and the Gen III Microtechs.

Too many good ones to name off the top of my head,

1. A2 Knives A11 with Ceramic Ikoma Korth Bearing System. I’ve owned many of the top action knives and this one is the smoothest of them all.
2. Thys Meades crazy stupid good
3. Les George MK3 perfection in every manner
4. Shams ridiculously amazing detent and drop shut action.
5. Shiro F3 no words needed.
6. CRK 21 Large Sebenza possibly the best hydraulic action for knives on phosphor bronze washers

Honorable mentions

1. Love my Rask but the deadlock if your finger is anywhere close to the lockbar removes them from the list.
2. Custom Knife Factory is pretty damn good, the Evo and Sokosha have outstanding action
3. Hinderer continues to improve action and detents are getting better and better
4. All Striders suck…..I’ll take knives that come with horrible lock stick for a $1,000 Alex…. What is Strider. You are correct.
5. Benchmade Anthem has a pretty sweet action that is its own thing altogether, nothing similar. Very unique action because of the spring setup they use.
6. Some Spydercos have great detent and action, just depends if you get a good one or not. I’ve had PM2s with terrible action and 1-2 with amazing action and near perfect detents.
7. Rocksteads are super smooth on PB washers like CRK
8. Rosie’s are sweeeeet.

If anyone is on the fence or doesn’t know about A2 knives, get one if you love amazing action, incredible quality and attention to detail!!! Still one of the best knives in the entire collection over the past 7 years competing with any other knife at any price point. Ceramic IKBS action is uniquely different in the best way possible.

I agree with you on spyderco. My yojimbo 2 has horrible action, needs a wrist flick to open fast. My Kapara on the other hand, is smooth as butter.
