Best action you've felt to date?

If anyone is on the fence or doesn’t know about A2 knives, get one if you love amazing action, incredible quality and attention to detail!!! Still one of the best knives in the entire collection over the past 7 years competing with any other knife at any price point. Ceramic IKBS action is uniquely different in the best way possible.

I appreciate your comment. I'm thinking of getting a premium front flipper and have been looking at A2, Trevor Burger, and 3LegDog.

It's unfortunate that detents vary so much. One Petrified Fish Beluga I have is great, the other is junk. Detents were so strong on a Rat1 and Kershaw Blur opening them was painful. The Blur was likely a product of its spring assist. Pretty amazing as these are big sellers with a long production run. Putting away any Cold Steel knife with a Triad lock takes a lot of pressure. I have an inexpensive Kershaw Iridium which is just perfect. Also a $42 Kizer Sheepdog utility knife flys open or may be released with the button activated top liner lock.

If the spring pressure on a liner or frame lock is too high it's difficult to open, too low and the lock will fail.

My favorite way to bypass the problem is switchblades. Just press the button and thwack.

I could not agree more. You really have to experience them yourself to appreciate just how good they are.
I own their double row ceramic ball prototype (below) of which they made only one because of the bearing size problem and complexity to produce. It has to the best flipper and action I have ever felt.

A2 knives are without doubt the best action folders I have ever felt.

IMG_5324.jpegIf we’re talking washers it would have to be a LG MK3 followed closely by his VECP. And to be honest the dama VECP flipper I have is stupidly smooth on bearings. It had been changed to Skiffs by the previous owner but man I love that knife!

Geez dude it’s not 2004 Who has lock stick on a strider anymore.
Well… I had 2 new Striders 2 years ago and both had horrible lock stick. I also held multiple at Bladeshow and multiple had lock stick(not all but several). There was also a guy that paid $750 for his, I didn’t have the heart to comment on the lock stick bc he was new to the knife world and didn’t want to rain on his parade. I’m sure there are models that don’t have it but I find it completely unacceptable for any to have it at the price point.

In my knife collection it might just be the Kizer Towser K, with what has been described as a "complex washer/ceramic ball bearing pivot system."
