Best all-around user Busse

I perfer thinner stocks for knives, especially "do everything knives"

I imagine that if you spent long enough trying you could get a busse to cook some eggs

I think the TGLB is a jack of all trades, master of none.
Except for the cool factor in which to me it excells:cool:

At 1/4" blade thickness and weighing 12 oz with Resiprene-C handle, the Basic 7 is lighter than, and arguably as strong as, anything else in the 7" blade range, long enough with enough forward balance for efficient chopping/batonning but not so long that point work is awkward, has the best of all Busse ergonomics IMO plus insulation from cold/vibration/electrical shock, and a standard asymmetrical edge grind which is one of the strongest, most efficient cutting edge geometries and the easiest to sharpen in the field.

I should probably also mention my limit is right at $416 and it needs to be something I can find. :D

Not a bad budget at all, you can find a BAe and NOe in that range as users. A whole bunch of the EDC class of Busse's are in that range: AD, MrS, Sus Scrofa, etc. I bet you could find a good user SFNO at that price, BAtac and Satin Jack Tac as well.

Not really looking for an EDC as much as a maybe 6-7". I have a Spydie Perrin bowie as my food-prep/smaller knife('til I get more funds for an EDC Busse ;) )

I've owned a Perrin Bowie, very nice indeed. :) If you like that one try the Moran designed pair, meat prepping machines. :D My wife loves her's and its proven itself many times.

For mid size try the Satin Jack Tac family, SNFO family, The NOe can be had in your range, All are at least 6" or more.

I'd say a Skinny ASH, SFNO (not NM) or a SHE (Steel Heart Ergo). The Tank Buster or BOSS Jack could also fill the need.

I think the best allarounder is the skinny ash1. Splinter pickin', game processing, shelter building, batonning, food prep. All covered.

I would also vote for the SH, but I prefer the Straight Handle variety. For all the same reasons.

My 2nd choice would be the SFNO.
