best bang for your buck?

There's lots of good knives coming out of China at nice prices lately. Spyderco's byrd line and the Tenacious, Rough Rider slipjoints, and so on...

Europe gives us Victorinox, Moras, etc.

Lots of stuff up on the Maker's for sale area here, especially fixed blades.

Spyderco Endura/ Delica Wave, Tenacious, Salt series
Benchmade Griptilian/ Mini, Monochrome
Kershaw Leek, JYD I&II, OD-1, Shallot
Victorinox SAKs
Opinels
Cold Steel Kukhri machete
Koster 3V Bushcrafter
Scrap Yard Knives in general if bought at retail

Byrds, Moras, select Gerbers like EZ out, many Bucks, some Kershaws; love a couple of Benchmades but, considering cost, not sure they are bang for buck; also select Bokers.

Condor Rodan. $20 for a 1095 5" full flat-ground blade with a mirror polished convex secondary bevel, thick tang, and nice leather sheath.

Best bang for the buck? This guy, easily. Mora 510- lightsaber sharp, tough as nails- $10.

Runner up would be the Case "yella" CV Sodbuster or Peanut. Then the Vic SAKs.

Kershaw in general is a good value line for folders, has been for years.

Mora knives can't be topped for both value and quality

Buck 110 is a good deal, as is the 119 and several other Buck products

Spyderco Manix 2 is a good deal in the more expensive category--you get a knife they could easily charge >$100 for,
