Best Benchmade ever

Well this is not really a hard one for me. The AFCK 800HS and the 710 HS are both tops! As far as durability goes, I have had my 800 HS since they first came on the market, The G-10 is worn pleasently smooth from years of carry. The action is still smooth as silk and there is NO blade play. I work in a machine shop and have used it for years without a hitch. Until I got my 710HS it was my single EDC. Of course , then I found Bladeforums. Now there is an EDC rotation of the 800HS, the 710HS, the two Sifu, single and five groove models, the MT Socom Elite, the CRKT M-16-14, ant the Spydie Native,.............and on, You get the picture. Next is the 940. Looks sweet. Have fun in your search, I have. This place will be a great help in finding good knife info. BUT, it is a killer on the bank account. HeHeHe

MY first high quality tactical folder. Still one of the best. IMO.
I am anxious to try the 710 though.

Benchmade did some great early collaborations too. I don't have any of the more recent Benchmades, but I love my BM Crawford Leopard. I own lots of collaborations (most from Spyderco), including a BM Sentinel, but that Leopard is the nicest and most elegant of all of them. One sweet knife!

Well, it has got to be:

1. 42
2. 43
3. 47
4. 721
5. 942
6. 722

But the best will come out in about a month (just a limited run of 100) and it will be the 49-01!!!! The BM kris Bali-Song baby!!! Oh hell yeah!!!!!! But it will be a flipper, doesn't sound like it'll be a good user. :D :D :D

722 BT

I tend to switch between hands, and the axis lock is the best in terms of being ambidextrious.. I am also a big fan of tanto point.

... what the question is about.

If we are looking for fixed blade, then it is Nimravus Cub.
Great little fixed blade! Easy to carry - even inside pants - though this needs Eric's kydex sheath for it.

If we are looking for a nice - beautifull - folder, then it is 690.
Though it is nice and light, it is great utility blade.

If the question was about strong lock, then it will be one of those having the axis lock. First time when I opened my 735 I thought: WOW!
I still think so.

I get my kicks with my Benchmade blades... :D ;)

BM705 all the way!

(Edit: kinda fitting to me that this was my 1K'th post!)

:)

Professor.

I have three Benchmades: 705, 710, 940. They're all great; I'd have a hard time deciding which is "best." It would really depend on the where I was and what I was planning to do with the knife. I have to add, though, that I use the 705 much more than the others because it is more "office friendly."

you know, i just said afck, but i heard all the people raving about the 710 so i went to the store today and bought a new one. satin finish plain edge ats 34, I LOVE IT.

as every one on this forum knows, my fav is the 800 series, the AFCK, they fit my hand well, good length on blade, good action, good price - imho ya cant beat them - i have 3 so i will always have one, since they are discontinued, and i dont care for the AFCK 11 - also like my BM 975SBT, and my oild leopard too......but the AFCK is # 1A for sure imho.....
