Have heard it all - for every person who likes a certain knife (Randall 1-7, Ek, even the old Gerbers), there are at least three or more people who bad-mouth that same knife. What's your opinion?
probably a dumb question
but arent they mighty cold in winter conditions?
well the fatal flaw of the hollow handled knife is quite simple, its nots full tang so its more likely to break, if you want all that survival stuff just put it on the sheath via pockets etc(and i mean the company thats makes the knife to do that instead of hollowing)Im personally drawn to Chris Reeves's hollow handled Survival knives.

There is quite a lot of chatter regarding the 'rambo' compartments but to me it makes one hell of a lot of sence. If you loose your pack its not the worst case scenario.
Granted these CR knives come at high prices, but the reputation is high.

Would you mind explaining the difference then? Because in my opinion a " Commando" would like to be able to survive with his knife. Hence " survival " knife.
Well I would think that a Chris Reeve knife would do a damn good job of cutting someones throat.
I'd take Rambo over Commando
Yeah, but he asked what the best Commando knife was, not what the best Rambo knife was.I'd take Rambo over Commando
