Best Fighter?

Well, if we're gonna get all up under the skin of this topic, we're gonna hafta differentiate between dueling knives, self-defense knives, and just-plain-killing-someone knives.

For a face-to-face fight? The 5. Reach, speed and slashiness count for a lot. Forget stabbery... you get to opening up a person's hands, arms and wrists, they're gonna have a real hard time whupping you. Then... run like hell!

For SD? The 15 gets the nod because it's nearly as wicked, but easier to carry and/or conceal at all times. At close quarters, it would take a motivated (meaning, terrified but pissed) person about 12 seconds to employ a 15 and seriously ventilate an attacker. Then... run like hell!

For just-plain-taking-someone-out? Definitely the RKB. You sneak up behind a bad guy with that thing and take a healthy swing at his neck or noggin, it's gonna be a very short story to tell. Don't forget to run like hell!

Well if running like hell is part of the plan, I'd go with throwing a BK2 prior to flight. :D

James, I like your "Run Like Hell" system.
If you market it, I could see some really good synergy between your program, your knives, and Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc.
I think you should design a "Run Like Hell" knife for The Walking Dead.

I thought for sure someone would say the BK6 didn't count since it was a machete.

In that case, Ill be the one that fights Tradewater. Wouldn't have to actually fight anyone and I would get my first BK2, for FREE!

You think Nike would chenge their slogan to "Don't Do It"?

Running like hell is always part of the plan! If I was less fat and lazy, it would be my first choice of tactics in a fight, pretty much always.

And throwing a BK2 does make sense, because even if it doesn't stick in or cut the bad guy, there's a fair chance it would just knock him down :p

Hmmm, you may be onto something there.

Lol. It's true it doesn't say which Becker "knife." I'd be plenty happy to have Uncle E with his 870 taking care of business at a knife fight.

I have to say, that RBK is plenty fast, and wicked too. That would probably be my pick, followed by the 5. Of course, I might change my mind if Uncle E decides to design a fighting karambit or a dagger. But I can move the RBK nearly as fast as the 5, and it's got some serious intimidation factor.

Having actually taken a few tactical knife classes, I can say for sure that run like hell is going to be my primary method, followed by shooting them with my PPQ. I know several techniques for knife defense, empty-handed and not, and I hope never to have to try to use any of them.

You would have to rid yourself of the 2 if you were to flee, it is an anchor. ;)

I guess if you've never been to a gym then the 5 or 15 would be your choice since they're lighter. I'm going with an RBK. Mass and design work for me.

I'll take the BK7 bayonet made by Todd and Murph. Attached to my AR. But then again, I would just RSVP "unable to attend" to any invitation to a fight.

Just tell Psy it's time to shoot, and he'll show up with a gun and some boots. Problem solved.
