Best Fighter?

RBK in my right hand, BK5 in my left. Of course I don't own either of these blades.... yet.

You guys got it wrong. Don't take a Becker to a knife fight. You take the most uninteresting POS china made pointy thing you can find. Let that thing rust away in the evidence locker.

Aint no way my Becker's getting dropped at the scene ;):D

This is why knife laws don't make any sense. Who the hell's gonna hurt someone with their $700 MT Scarab, or their CRK, or even a ZT and risk it? Just let the people carry, fer cryin' out loud. NH has no carry restrictions (that I know of) and hasn't had for several years now and surprisingly, still no one's having knife fights as much as they weren't before. No difference.

anyhow....Tom's right. You're gonna need those Beckers to survive while you're on the lam from that knife fight you started with that cheap....crap. But remember, it won't rust away in the evidence locker because it's made of stainless steel and will never rust for as long as you own it.

....it says so right in the infomercial.

You got to play to win my friend. Get the biggest weapon you can & mace his hide! Kick his knife in the gutter. Then, just hoof it.

I thought there would be more votes for 7s and 9s, the combat knives, not all these suggestions of frail "kitchen" knives, 5s and 15s?? (Sarcasm intended!:D)

Another +1 for the BK5, and while I've never handled an RBK I did train a smidgen with kukri style blades and know they work very well.

The Becker handle feels great in any grip position, and we all know the chopping / slicing power you get out of them.

As one of my old instructors would say, 'the winner of a knife fight is the guy who just get cut less', E is right... bring an 870.

I also agree with Mike. The last thing people who spend any larger amount of money on a knife, is to lose it using it for any kinda dirty task ;) especially when those knives can be served better as cutting tools.

You got me Blades&Bullets!

TravisH,
Awesome picture, has a story to tell!

Is it even fair to use a Becker (especially Ethan) in a knife fight?? Seems like an unfair advantage to me! Think about the poor guy using a cheap Spanish switch blade or one of the highly touted special forces approved tactical folders when you wield a Bk-5..... you Becker Heads should be ashamed of yourselves!

Maybe I should have said which Becker to take to a "gun" fight??

Wow some very nice knives in this thread (Granite and James) !!!! What kind of wood are your scales made out of James? Definitely an RBk for me I want limbs ,hopefully the one holding the knife. This thread also made me really want a 5.

Having a 9 and a 5, my choice is the 5. The balance and lightness makes it extremely nimble, and the point would go in easier than the 9.

I'd hate to face either. Not a good situation, and if you can outrun the guy it doesn't matter what knife he has. Me, I can't run very fast, certainly not for very long, so I'm gonna have to go for a leg first for an element of suprise and easier reach, then see what is open next.

Scary thought to even contemplate. But outside of E's 870, gimme a 5.

As for Beckers that I have empirical evidence that they actually exist, the 5. Feels like the first golok loka I was handed when i started Silat twenty years ago. Other than that, the RBK. (Or Granite's purple people eater BK7-I've handled that and it would definitely work).
I'm assuming the "knife duel" scenario here, where both opponents have knives and neither has a Mossberg or a bag of big rocks...
James, that double edged 5 is somethin' else. That would be beautiful as a reverse grip knife.

We have a Winnah!
- there IS no other 870 but a Remington 870. As long as yer arm functions, people or things better run.
Fast!
Thanks:rolleyes:
I just thought it was little strange choosing a shotgun when the choices were limited to BK&T knives. Crazy, I know.
