Best knife within 5,000?

Go to the American Bladesmith School and learn to make your own any way you want

Hey everyone! Sorry for not giving enough information! Thanks for the feedback.. I want something that would be a high end custom or even something like a custom microtech idk? Just something that will stand out. I figured with 5k I should be able to get my hands on whatever's out there that people really want but is just very expensive. PS I already have all of the production folders you guys recommend. I am only interested in folders! And I would rather not spend 5k but I want something unique and perfect. Something to show off.

Something to show off, how about a Proto type Sebenza25. Only 25 people in the world can say they have one. Now, that's something to show off!!!!!
I know from first hand experience :)

Would love to have your dilemma, sir...I hope you post updates on whatever you end up buying as I'd definitely love to see what a $5K knife looks like.

Look at these knives and also check out Stan Wilson Non Flipper Flipper.

Don Hanson III makes folders also. ;)

You could save another $20,000 and then you'd have enough to buy the William Henry B12 Lace. :D. I said "the" because it is a one of a kind. I did not post a link because they are not a BF sponsor but with Google you can find it.

Seriously, as others have said buy a couple great knives and pocket the remaining $4,000 or get a nice collection.

Another question, a little off-topic; Who has a Sebenza in good used condition and wants to sell it??

We have an entire section devoted to nothing more than buying, selling, and trading. If you would like to start a "Want to Buy" ad, you can do that too. General Knife discussion is for discussing knives, not soliciting sales.

Sarcastic response: I'd buy 500 Mora Classics or Companions and issue them out to my local militia!

More realistic response: I'm not too well versed in the world of exquisite / expensive customs since I can barely afford Top Tier productions, but I really love a lot of Warren Osborne's work. His Benchmade designs rank pretty high for me, but his custom work is quite lovely. A lot of them look like either relics from a lost civilization or something out of the future. Price wise, they seem to clock in around $2000 give or take. Not sure how "available" they are though.

This one really speaks to me:
