Best Natural Materials...

Here's some very feminine white pearl on a Pease folder, and some truly gay Snakewood on an Ed Schempp Spirit Damascus Tanto. I know Ed wears a tu-tu when forging... :jerkit: :D

And finally, let's not forget why they call Terry Primos: "Terry Princess", what with killer black walnut like this on his interpretation of a girlie bowie. :D

Ari,

This is one of the first times outside of the Cove on the Forums that I have been ROTHLMFAO.:D

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Why thank you Steven, :) do me a favor, please PM me your number, I think my wife deleted the messages.

OMG!!!! Thanks all for one of the best ever threads anywhere on Blade forums. There are some truly stunning pics of some SIMPLY FABULOUS knives here. Thanks Ari for the injected humor, and DGG... you truly are a troll PT.

Gorgeous stuff, Ari, except those are the gayest looking handles I have yet to see here. Pure girlie all the way.

If you were half a man you'd field dress a grizzly bear with those cute "girlie" knives to get some much needed blood on 'em.:D

I don't know if this is ''girlie'' enough for you.
Ossic double edge bowie, - African black wood spacer.

Perhaps there's good reason why you're on the PT list.
This is just another example that confirms your status as 2006's PT number 8.:jerkit:

And that's a loss? Am I supposed to be heart broken about some list? Get real!

I just love that frilly white pearl on the Pease folder Ari. I guess you'll have to sign me up for the Brokeback knife club as well.

Now, now, child, you have stumbled across content for the big boys and girls, and have succeeded in proving yourself childish by placing your foot in your mouth.

You might want to stop now, before we are convinced that you have your head in your anus.

The PT list is one of the few lists that I would pay NOT to be on.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

It's too late STeven... most of us are already convinced his head is already there.

You know, I am well aware that DGG has a valid point, and that it was his offensive delivery that got us riled up. Obviously there has long been a debate as to whether it is somehow silly to collect knives for their aesthetic and artistic value and keep them mint, rather than use each knife you buy. I understand both sides, but I do get tired of people that seem to say if you own a knife that hasn't been used, you are stupid, which is basically what DGG said.

Well, in this thread, my thread, I don't feel I'm the stupid one. After all, this thread was all about girlie knives, and if you can't take it, you obviously aren't very comfortable with your femininity:thumbup: .

BTW, Coop, I have to say, the Tortoise shell/gold foil Warenski is the nicest example of that material I have seen, seen some nice ones from Bill Pease, Frank Potter and Barry Davis, but never with the shell so evenly colored like that, or maybe I should say evenly transparent. :)

Here's a couple. The first By ABS Mastersmith Dr. James Batson. The second is by the great Bill Moran.

Hey jjtjr...
Can you give us what kind of handle material is on these knives?
Everyone else has said it,,,, BUT WHAT A GREAT THREAD !!!!
Thanks BladeForums

Todd, the Batson is Fossil Ivory and the Moran is Curly Maple checkered and silver inlaid by Bill. Here are three by retired ABS Mastersmith Wayne Valachovic. The first is mastadon, the econd is abalone and the third is pearl.

S**t, I better get rid of my entire collection really fast.
Not a drop of blood on any of them!! :D

Seriously, I collect knives for their artistic value (to me), their beauty (which of course is in the eye of the beholder), and to some degree because of their place in shaping and being part of history. Beauty and artistic value are very subjective and mean something different to whoever is considering these aspects.

...as for blood. Well, I don't kill things for sport, I don't kill things to eat (the butchers that supply the stores or restaurants do a fine job at that), and I am careful enough not to cut myself when I handle my collection. If some people think that makes my collection irrelevant, so be it. Very limited thinking in my opinion.

That is not to say that I don't take a knife with me when I go hiking, but in that case, it is an appropriate knife for that task (not my Shane Taylor for example).

(Sorry no pics right now to contribute to the visual smorgasbord already offered in this fine thread).

EDITED:
I'm changing my original post.......

......DGG, you won't get broke up for being put on any type of list because low-lives like you are always on "the list". You're so used to being put on "the list" wherever you go that it no longer phases you to be on it.

Here's how it works. Everyone in the US has a douche bag list that they carry around with them at all times and you're one of the douche bags on that list. Wherever you go, whether it be the mall, or the market, to the movies or here at Bladeforums, undesirables like you can be seen coming long before you arrive because you're on "the list". That way when you get to where you're going, decent people can respond to you the way that you deserve because of the snot ball that you are.

Thanks Roger. Here are three by Jerry Fisk. The first is Fossil Ivory. He calls it a tuxedo Fighter. The second is an intergral with Fossil Ivory and the third is Redwood burl.
