Best non slip joint gentleman knife

Depending on price range and what types of locks, or lack of, you would consider for a non slip joint. There are friction knives which are to me in the same group as slip joints when people say non-slip simply because it is usually more of a request for a locking knife. Then there are the detent systems like in the Viper EZOpen and their DAN 1/2 knives that don't lock and operate more like a slip joint. There are other makers using similar systems for knives that make solid gentleman''s knives like the Boker Wasabi and Kansei Matsuno knives it is based on. What sets the Wasabi, Kansei Matsuno, Viper DAN 1/2, and many knives using things like the detent system apart from a slip joint though is that they often feature one hand opening which can also be found in some friction folder's too.

Ignoring friction folders and detent systems for their stronger ties to traditional knives and slip joints and w/o a budget limit I would say my top choice is the CRK Mnandi

I also would say some fixed blades or the right size and with suitable handle materials and carry options also can make for a good gentleman's knife.

looks like a spyderco, which one is it?

my dress up knives are
Böker urban trapper grand
Massdrop dogtooth
crkt ripple 2
spyderco dice

I’m one of CRKT’s biggest critics. Like a lot of their designs but despise the execution about 95% of the time. That said, the Crossbones is pretty sweet IF you get one that’s put together well.

Just received this one today, seems like it'd be a good stand-in for my Mnandi as a gentleman's knife.

I liked that one except for the proud clip screws that hit when I put it in the pocket and the short length that made it hard for.me to close one handed.

It would be hard to go wrong with either a Mnandi or Small 21 with some fancy inlays.

I am a big fan of AG Russell knives but what particular one
depends on your own tastes and style of dress.

If you go to their website, select on the left hand side both
their factory and shopmade knives, then under Knife Type
click Locking Folders, you will get 51 knives ranging from
something like the Gunstock to the Vest Pocket Semi Skinner
all the way up to stuff like the Loveless Gentleman's Folder.

Also maybe something like the Buck 501 Squire which can be
customized on Buck's website in S30V with a variety of handles.

I kinda use my small inkosi for that but I think my Gent is way more gentleman
