I was thinking the same thing. I admire the ESEE 6 and would suggest it with one caveat- if you have any idea that you might want a larger blade then I would suggest the BK9.Hard to beat a Becker BK9 ... I've had a couple BK7s but traded or sold both and replaced them with BK9s. For me the BK7 falls in that no mans land where it's not enough knife to handle big knife stuff well and it's just big enough it doesn't handle small knife stuff well.
