Think of some movies that involved wilderness survival or E & E. I would like to start a list and maybe rank them after we are done. Here are some titles that I can think of. In no particular order. No Zombie movies please.

Heston and Kieth (Tyler and Frapp) in Mountain Men from 1980. Wasn't intended as a survival movie, but has some good scenes depicting firemaking and other techniques.

Yes, I have a copy. My kids loved it. It may have been a PBS made movie. It follows the book closely.

Just saw Rescue Dawn while staying in a hotel for work.
Pretty good survival stuff in it. Just make sure to visit
www.rescuedawnthetruth.com to learn how the other prisoners were portrayed poorly in the film. Still worth watching.

Also The Edge needs to be listed.

Yeah the book, Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen was made into a movie called "A Cry in the Wild". My wife uses the book in her 7th/8th grade literature classes and they watch the movie after reading the book.

I like "the Edge" as well.

This must be a totally different Seraphim Falls movie starring Brosnan and Neeson........the one I saw with those two guys was a total and complete waste of time.

I think the movie you are thinking of is "surviving the game" where "the game" is about a rich guy that gets a weird birthday present from his brother. The hunted his based loosely on Tom Brown Jr's experiences.
