Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Bye bye kahlua! This stuff is tasty, it's not thick and syrupy. Sip it neat, taste just like coffee with a kick, mix with coffee, black Russian, white Russian....

Sounds tasty Rob, I've not had a coffee liqueur in ages! :)

Probably could Paul, but I don't think of it as virtue in any way....o_O:D

LOL! Everyone needs a superpower Will! :D

Will Power Will Power I like bulleit bourbons. Their rye is very nice for a whiskey sour or an old fashioned. I enjoy the bottle you show neat.

Thanks Rob. I've always relished Bourbon, never liked Scotch or Irish very much;) Tried their Rye and it's smooth, the bottles are nice old school flask type of thing, raised lettering, almost too good to chuck out:D But here in Scandiland they're not inexpensive, about 38 Euro a bottle  that's about 12 Euro more than Jack Daniels et al.Worth it mind....Still, one's favourite drink(s) always go well with a favourite knife:thumbsup: At least that's what it seems.....:D

Regards, Will

It's not what you expect, its simply their vodka and premium coffee, both produced in little rock ar. Their disterlery is 2 hours from me, I stopped in last year and was surprised at the variety of products, I'm planning on taking their tour next month after the annual knife show, they warn you to eat a good meal in advance as there are over 20 samples, I'll certainly recruit my wife as the designated driver
Jack Black Jack Black

Will Power Will Power it runs about $25 around here and well worth it, I'm not a fan of Jack Daniels neat but it's ok as a mixer. I love their bottles too, just a cool old timey style.

That looks good. How does that compare to their Stormcloud IPA?

I doubt that I can make any worthwhile comparison here. It's been at least a decade since I've had Stormcloud. I picked this up because I was impressed to see that Rahr had made its way to South Louisiana. The last time I had anything from them, you had to stay pretty close to Fort Worth to find it. I seem to recall Stormcloud being a fairly malty IPA though. If that's a correct characterization, then I would say that Dadgum has more hop presence. The can advertises "intense notes of pine and citrus fruit"...I mainly get the pine, but it's pretty balanced. Not an particularly bitter IPA, at least by current standards.

I may have to give it a try. It’s been a while since I had any Rahr brews. I feel they have gotten a little large and commercial the past few years. Lucky for us in DFW we do have a lot of smaller breweries around now.

Will Power Will Power finished off my bottle of Bulleit Sunday evening. To the store, to the store, to the store, we go.... Anyhow our friend and across the road neighbor makes candles out of empty bottles. I came up with a cool name for her outfit: Whiskey Bent Wax Works. We occasionally buy some from em wholesale to sell in our booth when we're doing a show. Here's a Buffalo Trace candle:

Anyhoo might be a cool little project for you with your empty bottle.
