Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Yes, I agree Donn, and it really is hard to go wrong in York :) I have booked a hotel there for my birthday weekend, just so I can enjoy a night out there :)

Sounds like you've got a great birthday planned :D:thumbsup:

Good friend of mine treats limited release beers the way we all treat SFO knives. Had not seen him in a good while and he came by this afternoon bearing gifts-

I can't see the ABV on the IPA, but after a few bottles of that vanilla stout I reckon everything would be foggy :D:thumbsup:

Wow, StoneBeard StoneBeard , looks like your Beer Barrel Oak Beer Scout was put to good use.

I’m keeping it simple this evening, enjoying the first Meyer lemon from a tree we planted two summers ago.

Haha, I’d say foggy is a good description of how I felt at 6:00 am this morning.

The Beerscout is a really nice little knife that I just don’t get around to carrying all that often. I can’t say that I have a ton of use for a cap lifter on most days and I’d be very tempted to use it as a flat head we’re it in my pocket and I needed one.

As for the beverages they were all outstanding , but the two imperial stouts were amongst the best I’ve ever had. Both reminded me more of an extremely decedent dessert rather then a beer. It’s impressive the flavor combinations that today’s brewmasters squeeze out of beers.

Nice to see you enjoying the first lemon from your tree  before long you’ll be researching anything and everything you can make with lemons to put all the fruit to use. In my experience lemon trees are one of the heaviest producers.

Your Guardians Lambsfoot is a beautiful knife

Been working hard in the house today, moving furniture around and stuff. Since I'll be at it until late, and again tomorrow, I figured I'd earned a pint and a healthy lunch. Beer was Eyes Pegasus, a "Double dry-hopped Simcoe and Chinook New England style session white IPA"

- ooh, that looks good Jack Black Jack Black .......and, hope the ol' reflux is better too (you're not the only one  ;) )

Thanks pal, I take Lanzoprazole twice a day Paul, and it really helps, but not always. I recommend it if you've not tried it. Sorry to hear you suffer too

Me too!:(
I can testify this has no link with the regular use of a lambsfoot, since I had troubles long before I owned one!
Beer could not be another reason anyway, I drank long before troubles did appear...:);)

Rotten pic, but I'm enjoying the beer :)
...
There's my problem as a photographer! Jack, I have no idea why I should judge your pic to be rotten.:( It looks GREAT to me: everything is clear and in focus - what more could one ask for???

That lunch and brew look like the perfect mid day break from the necessary chores, but the horn on your Lambsfoot truly steals the show

The elusive Diamond Radio Jack.... very nice! Now that’s a combination of beverages and blades if I’ve ever seen one

I spent the better part of two years chasing that knife and narrowly missed the Ebony version on the exchange and the blood red jigged bone version by 85¢ on the big auction site about a year ago......

While I don’t think I’d purchase another Beer Scout or Crown Lifter( my Beer Barrel holds me over nicely) I will always save a spot for a DRJ should another run ever be commissioned. Of course if somehow a few more TC Beerlows or dare I say a #77 Beerlow were ever made I just don’t think I’d be able to pass.

Thank you my friend, my Radio Jack was a birthday gift from my fellow Yorkshireman ScruffUK, a few years ago, together with a matching Harness Jack
