Absolutely! People talk about Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham or London for ale and pubs but IMHO York excels over all of them Every time I walk back to the railway station I ask myself why I ever moved away from York
And despite York being north of England's biggest tourist magnet the beer is still cheaper than the pubs in the Peak District, or Manchester or Cheshire

I've recently enjoyed a bottle of this espresso milk stout every 2 or 3 days. My goodness, it certainly agrees with me!! For that matter, so does the Case slimline trapper (thanks, Tom).

Yes, I agree Donn, and it really is hard to go wrong in York I have booked a hotel there for my birthday weekend, just so I can enjoy a night out there
