Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Few weeks ago was my birthday, I received a pack of 6 Belgian fruit flavored beers. I knew already the kriek, raspberry and peach Lindemans, but the Liefmans kriek is new to me. As will remain (for long I guess) the ananas and apple flavored... :(
The little Mikov fish is a gift from my son, a souvenir from Sète, so I can compare with the older one @Âchillepattada gave me.

Happy belated birthday, Jolipapa Jolipapa !

I am enjoying a beautiful, crispy cool evening. I am rather fond of box pressed cigars and this Macanudo is excellent. Pairs nicely with the Islay.

Case Texas Jack CV and another Virginia beer. Devil's Backbone Brewing Company is located just off the Appalachian Trail at mile post 842, thus the name. They'll give hikers a free ride from the trail to their brew pub and back if you happen to be hiking the trail and need refreshment. This beer isn't bad. It's hoppy, but not over the top hoppy. I don't care for the knife. It's fairly heavy and bulky for its size. I guess that's why I prefer single blade knives.

They put the freshly poured glass of beer in this machine and it can create images in the froth!!!....even your face...what will they think of next.?

Thank you, my friends. Practice, good lighting, and some other things, I imagine. I feel somewhat limited by my equipment (phone camera) but I still seem to be a able to produce ok results. You should see all the pictures that don't make the final cut...

Thank you! It was indeed a Gurkha and it was quite fine.
Islay Scotch is certainly an acquired taste. I can remember the first time I had an Ardbeg 10 year before I was of a proper drinking age. I thought it the foulest tasting fluid I'd ever had the displeasure of consuming. I thought I was drinking liquid smoke!

But over the years, tastes tend to evolve and palates become accustomed to the finer things and a good Islay Scotch is now amongst my favorite of fine whiskys. The Laphroaig is an excellent standby and I usually keep a bottle or two tucked away. You would have been most welcome to join. Feel free to drop by any time in the future, there is bound to be an abundance of fine drink and cigars. :D

Having something a bit different this evening. Wine aged in whiskey barrels. Not unpleasant at all.

Ardbeg 10 is another favourite of mine :) I've not yet found a whisky I didn't like, but I definitely favour the Islay malts, just wish they'd stop messing about blending them, as they have in recent years  That looks like an interesting wine Dylan, and an excellent pic, as always. I do enjoy sharing your evenings out on the porch :)

That's a nice idea :) I regularly find a few of the DB beers here, but I think at least some of them may be brewed in Europe on license.

View attachment 1016701 Had to go get some more of the sink water IPA Prester John Prester John ;) This TC is the real deal!

Must be good Taylor :D :)

Anyone seen this?

I've heard about faces being done on coffee, but....whatever next?! There are a few places here where it might be worth signing your pint though, due to a danger of 'mine-sweeping'!
