Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

A pint of Strawberry Duck bitter; brewed as a house beer for the pub by Cameron's brewery, at the Strawberry Duck pub in the hamlet of Entwistle in the county of Lancashire. (Knife and pint on the table) :)

I was too hard on the Founders Solid Gold. It's definitely better than Hamm's.

There used to be a Welsh whiskey, but I believe the last bottle was presented to HRH the Chuckster decades ago.
They must have micro-distilleries by now though.

Jolipapa Jolipapa , "little Jesus in velour pants"? Smooth, I guess?

I'll have to look for that. I've had Scotch whisky and Irish whiskey. Don't remember any whiskey from England. Is there any? I love the gin and beer -- separately, of course -- from England.
There are so many REAL things, why bother with others... Even the best copy won't have the history, ground and the people behind it, it will remain a copy... Invent something new... or bust! There are English whiskies, and Corsican as well...who cares?

I have had some very nice Japanese whiskey. But Scotch is best, bourbon second best.
The French have the wonderful cognac. And champagne. And wine, of course.

Sometimes you find a cheap whiskey that isn't half bad. This would be one of those times. When I do not want to ponder the mysteries of the universe or plunge into the depths and complexities of a good Scotch, a drinkable Irish will suffice.

I find that I have to "regress" once or twice a year. I can't drink the best beers or whiskeys year round. Sometimes I just need Miller High Life, PBR, Maker's Mark, Jim Beam, or Seagram's 7 to reset my palate.
