My first time across the pond was supposed to be in June and trying this there was top of my list. I may still take my chances and go! I’ve heard Euro beers are better fresher with less preservatives.
Like anywhere you will still get cats **ss beer made in industrial breweries through to the hand made craft beers ...German purity laws are seemingly more stringent regarding the water used......so better beers.
I still cant work out how in Australia I can buy imported German beer way cheaper than the local swills.

I'd love to have a Guinness--or three--in Dublin.
I went to St James the Guiness brewery around 1998...the paid tour gives you a token for 1 free pint o giunness....I was on a bucks weekend from England. Was a bit disappointed with the brewery tour which was focussed on marketing and advertising mainly...and the artwork..which was interesting but no one got near the brew.
Never fear because I met some lovely Americans ...older folks on the tour with the wives....none of whom actually liked the stuff...so they gave us all their tokens...I got 7 free pints of guinness that day. Begorrah and B'Jasus..

184 years ago today the decisive blow for the birth of a Republic was dealt.

”We view ourselves on the eve of battle. We are nerved for the contest, and must conquer or perish. It is vain to look for present aid: none is at hand. We must now act or abandon all hope! Rally to the standard, and be no longer the scoff of mercenary tongues! Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father’s name.”

— General Sam Houston
Addressing his troops before
the Battle of San Jacinto

What better way to celebrate than finishing a bottle of our finest and a blade crafted by a man whose family has been here since 1832.
