Cheers!

Ned Kelly always reminds me of Mick Jagger getting his foot caught in his stirrup in the movie.
Benny Hill did a Ned Kelly, too.
Boy, I wish I had Ned Kelly's head of hair.

I went a little upscale on my last case. That bright red tab with the openwork crown really adds to the flavor.

My son gave me some of those same cigars. Gonna have one or two. With bourbon. Or scotch. Nice trapper.
That was my first one Vince, excellent smoke your Son has good taste. It was Maker’s 46 in the glass along with a Guinness, but that’s my go to. I think these would pair well with some good scotch.

He also gave me a bottle of The Balvenie single malt scotch 14 year old ("The Week of Peat"),
and I picked up a bottle of Wild Turkey 101. My wife and daughter gave me some Arturo Fuente cigars. It was a good Father's Day! Celebrating the Fourth this weekend.

While the ribs are smoking [full disclosure: wife is handling those, but I'm grilling the hot dogs a little later :p:cool: ], I am enjoying a cigar with my whiskey:

The glass may say "Glenmorangie", but that's Wild Turkey 101 in there.

There may be better bourbons, but I ain't tasted one yet I like better.

Where I come from there are only two kinds of bourbon Jim Beam and Wild Turkey. When you want to open a bottle and toss the cap you reach for the Jim Beam. When you are sippin’ and talkin’ You reach for the turkey.

I hardly ever drink macro brews anymore, but I “grew up” on Bud heavy and Busch Light, and every now and then I‘ll pick up a case of one or the other when I’m feeling nostalgic. :D

Sounds like a good day, Vince! Wild Turkey 101 is one of those bourbons that gets a bad rap for no reason (I guess just because it’s not expensive?).

So far I’m teetotaling for the 4th. No reason, really; sweet tea just sounded good. :D Maybe I’ll have something stronger a bit later.

Drinking tea myself at the moment, Barrett. Hot. No sugar or anything else. Hope you have a great Sunday.

Sounds good, Vince. Although I enjoy coffee and (hot) tea, I’ve never been a daily drinker of either, and I hardly ever drink anything hot in the summer. This is actually the first pitcher of sweet tea I’ve brewed this summer. (I say “sweet” tea, but it’s not nearly as sweet as my grandma would’ve made it; I probably use about 1/4 the amount of sugar she would have. :D)

Enjoying another (in my opinion) under-appreciated Bourbon tonight.
