Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Well, it wasn't me who started that old dipsomanic lore,
But I was proud to go and do my sybaritic chore.

I ran out of my cheap beer and thought I'd treat myself to something nicer before buying more cheap stuff.
That's a Walden Knife Co "stabber jack", probably from before EC Simmons bought them in 1903.

I like your vocabulary-rich paraphrase of the lyrics of "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town". :D
At Meijer, I can often get a 12-pack of Boston Lager for only $2 more than a 12-pack of Killian's Irish Red ($12); I like them both, and Killian's is the cheapest beer I ever buy anymore.

Thanks.
I don't know what it is about that couplet. When I was doing instrumental phonetics, it was, "It wasn't me who started that old crazy arcane lore, but I was proud to go and do my acoustical chore".
Killian's is good. It reminds me of a dame who done me wrong, but maybe I was asking for it. Anyway, one can't let dames interfere with one's beer.

Just finished the chores and now to finish off that growler of Big Niles Draught...and soak up the last bit of sun for the day....I went to the pub in Narooma yesterday arvo to watch the footy (NRL).the plisener on tap was more IPA...and the factory swill they serve was in a word ..thin. watery and artificial....Ive deffo been spoiled by Big Niles ....beers that are fresh flavoursome pure and have what a R.A.T. would call mouthfeel....Cheers.

Nice pocket Carver! I had a couple of those Summer Shandys the other day. I really enjoyed them.
I think they might be my favorite "flavored" beer.. great for cooling down in the heat of summer. I prefer the lemon flavor to the more common lime flavor... although, there's nothing wrong with lime, either.
