What a lucky duck you are to call home to the same place as Rochefort Trappists, best beer in the world imo.Excellent choice of knife and beer ! The Rochefort Trappists are local beers here. I prefer the n°6 which is less strong, 7.5 volts, but from time to time I enjoy the n°10 (to drink slowly).
Dan.

The woody taste of the ten is gorgeous but like you say, best sipped. The 6 and 8 are always present too in my "garage bar".
The knife is a good user but no history to it, guess that's up to me![]()
Sounds delicious.
It probably is, though I hadn't heard it. And I think his his plant is in Allegan now. The original place is a bar and perhaps a memorabilia store.I read this morning that the guy who started Bell's Brewery retired yesterday and sold his business to an Australian beer company (Lion).
I was never a huge fan of Two-Hearted Ale or Oberon, as some of my friends were, but I certainly enjoyed Bell's Porter and Kalamazoo Stout.
Bell's was certainly a "flagship" craft brewery that helped build Michigan's reputation as a location for craft beers.
Jerscreened porch , this is probably big news in Kalamazoo, eh?
I'll drink one of these tonight at supper to mark the end of an era (Upper Hand is part of Bell's):
