Excellent choice of knife and beer ! The Rochefort Trappists are local beers here. I prefer the n°6 which is less strong, 7.5 volts, but from time to time I enjoy the n°10 (to drink slowly).

What a lucky duck you are to call home to the same place as Rochefort Trappists, best beer in the world imo.
The woody taste of the ten is gorgeous but like you say, best sipped. The 6 and 8 are always present too in my "garage bar".
The knife is a good user but no history to it, guess that's up to me:)

My home is even closer to the Scourmont Abbay where are brewed the Chimay beers. Nice place.

I read this morning that the guy who started Bell's Brewery retired yesterday and sold his business to an Australian beer company (Lion).
I was never a huge fan of Two-Hearted Ale or Oberon, as some of my friends were, but I certainly enjoyed Bell's Porter and Kalamazoo Stout.
Bell's was certainly a "flagship" craft brewery that helped build Michigan's reputation as a location for craft beers.
Jer screened porch screened porch , this is probably big news in Kalamazoo, eh?
I'll drink one of these tonight at supper to mark the end of an era (Upper Hand is part of Bell's):

It probably is, though I hadn't heard it. And I think his his plant is in Allegan now. The original place is a bar and perhaps a memorabilia store.

I like the Two Hearted because it doesn't taste grapefruity like the IPA it says it is. I had switched to Light-Hearted, for the lower alcohol, before my favorite bar caught fire. Now I've quit drinking for the A-fib.

I had some Upper Hand somewhere recently and liked it. I don't remember the variety.
