StoneBeard, I'm glad you liked the gin. It's one of my favorites. Your G&T looks incredibly refreshing and that TC looks like the perfect accompaniment. In fact, I think you've created an instant classic: the G&T&TC. :D

MeanStreaker, welcome to the thread. I didn't know that Shiner made a holiday beer. If you enjoy drinking it, it's very welcome here. Thanks for sharing it with us.

These two favorites helped get Christmas Eve off to a good start:

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. I hope everyone has a great day leading to a joyous Christmas tomorrow.

Decided to pull the Charred beer Barrel oak Beer scout out for some table time and a cold one .

Certainly not the manliest drink, but mimosas are a Christmas morning tradition around our house.

Trying to stay warm while I cook cheesy baked potatoes with cowboy butter, and Jack Daniels smoked sirloin steaks on the charcoal grill.

I seem to be falling behind in all my favorite threads! :o

Overboard? Never! ;) :p Yessir, this will be baby girl's first Christmas!

Founder's makes some mighty fine brews, GT. You've every right to be proud of them! I would third the recommendation to search out Backwoods Bastard.
Hope that first Christmas was memorable, Shawn! Looks like I have a Beer Quest to undertake! ;)

...
Very sorry to hear that, GT. I remember you mentioning a month or so ago that you were looking forward to it. I hope that this leads to the search for a new favorite to take its place and that you discover something you enjoy even more.

My Charred Barrel Oak Beer Scout arrived on Saturday and it's had the opportunity to lift a couple of caps so far:

This choice was inspired by Jack's posting it a week or so ago and StoneBeard's comment that it was among his absolute favorite winter beers. I was not disappointed. Thanks fellas. :)
...
Thanks for the encouragement, Greg. Maybe I'll serendipitously run into something I'll enjoy as much as you do your new-found English-style brewery! Your CBOBS looks very dapper!

Cappuccino and Oatmeal! Finally a breakfast beer! Brilliant! :D

Doh! I've been drinking the Blue Moon semi-frequently of late, but I've been limiting my consumption to the evening meal!! Gary, you're a genius! :D

Jack, that orange Bull Nose looks like just the ticket for a night on the town when there's a chance that your knife might become difficult to locate due to extenuating circumstances!!

This Oktoberfest hasn't been available for several weeks, but I wisely stockpiled some while it was on the shelves, so I still have a few bottles left to savor for the current holidays! :p

Well, my Yuengling Lager is kinda' pedestrian compared to most beverages here, but I won't give it up. One of my favorite times of the day is when me & my two labs sit quietly on the back porch at night & have two Lagers before bed. It doesn't matter if it's 100 degrees, or if there's a raging blizzard going on & -10F. It's the perfect ending to every day.

Hey, if you live west of the Mississippi, that beer's considered exotic. :D

I'm from the general area in PA where it's made & I've been drinking it for "several" decades. I guess I'm just an old mountain hick & set in my ways. About twenty years ago, when we went to Daytona for our annual trip to Bike Week, I was pleasantly surprised to find it at the Boothill Saloon.

boy, i've been trying to get a good picture in my house, and i just cannot. but just imagine what it would look like to drink a Heady Topper with a GEC 42 in green bone. yeah, it's pretty good.

all the while, cooking dirty rice, but with venison! good golly, i live a fortunate life.

cheers!

EDIT: ok, ok. not posting pics? what am i thinking?

Loving these "east coast" hazy IPA's. This one is also a must try.
