Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

What did you think of the Evan? In my opinion, is pretty darn good and around here it’s less than $20. Don’t know how you beat that. 😊
My favorite bourbons are Wild Turkey 101 and Eagle Rare. Also like Maker's Mark, Elijah Craig, Bulleit. But I buy Evan Williams often. That handle (1.75 litre) cost me about $20. Very drinkable, better than Jim Beam in my opinion, and cheaper. My go-to bourbon (though I usually get the standard 86 proof black label).

Been dieting so I haven’t been drinking that much - after two days of mowing in 90+F heat… I thought it was time!

The beverage is an offbrand Octoberfest lager - not quite October but they were free from a customer that was getting rid of them; can’t really say no to free beer.

Nice list - 101 is my go to budget bourbon. If you want super inexpensive, Canadian Mist is great; only $15 for this 1.75L. I basically keep it on hand for mixed drinks as it’s not good neat (which is my preference).

The horror! Prices here from the state Alko monopoly are sickening....a bottle which is 0.7 litre of standard Evan Williams is 29 € about 31 USD :poop: It's driving me to drink....:D You can import Litre bottles from Estonia at some decent saving but even so....

You should give 1792 and Very Old Barton a try. Both are solid bourbons that drink like bourbons twice their price. VOB can be hard to find sometimes. We found it at both Total Wine and Specs in DFW for $20. If you want to go even cheaper, I hear good things about Benchmark. Its the cheap stuff from Buffalo Trace.

Will look for them, thanks. I like Buffalo Trace, too.

101 is one of my favorites also John, but I usually keep some of the white label Evan Williams and some 100 proof Old Forester around to switch things up a bit. I agree about the Jim Beam, okay to mix but I almost never drink it neat.
