Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

It was sad to hear the Spencer brewery closed this year.

Oh wow, I didn't realize they closed. They had great beer. I lived up in Boston for a number of years we used to always go out to the Big E and see the trappist monks give their tasting and discus their beer. Was a great time. Its a huge loss they are closing their doors. Next time I'm back on the east coast I'll have to see if I can find some of their last batches on the store shelves.

Thursday supper beverage was a locally brewed (but no longer locally owned) Oktoberfest:

Supper beverage Friday was a "guilty pleasure":

After 6-mile walk Saturday afternoon, cooled off on the patio with one of the last few of these in the fridge:

With supper Saturday, another Oktoberfest:

Tonight with supper, my year-round go-to brew:

This morning's beverage is a Peet's medium-dark blend.

I’m going to venture a guess and say the bottom side of that mug says ”Deneen Pottery, St. Paul, MN”?

Got groceries yesterday, and I was happy to see that they still offered a 28-bottle box of Samuel Adams Oktoberfest for $32. So I bought my first 28-pack (7x4 bottles) and had one with supper last night! (Old photo, but my supper last night was almost as enjoyable as a plate of nachos.)
