Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I shopped for groceries this morning, and was happy to see that the store had lots of Oktoberfest selections today after having nothing last week. But with supper tonight I had this (old photo - I bought a 12-pack of cans today and had one tonight):
Same here! I went into Sam's for Modelo. They were out but the Samuel Adams Octoberfest had arrived. I loaded up!
The rain forced us to find some indoor activities yesterday. Based on our tab, we spent WAY too much time in one of our favorite tap houses. 🤣View attachment 1920423
Love this photo Todd.

Thanks Dwight, Sam Adams is probably my favorite Octoberfest also. 🍺😎
I shopped for groceries yesterday and picked up 12-packs of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest and Founder's Oktoberfest. I hope I didn't make a serious error of judgment! The store also had boxes of 28 bottles (a package I hadn't seen before) of Sam Adams Octoberfest for $32, but I decided to wait until the next time I get groceries to buy one (or more). I hope they're still available next week!

Samuel Adams Octoberfest is probably not my absolute favorite (I'd probably pick Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest as my current favorite), but it's certainly very enjoyable!

Dwight, that's a great photo of the beer and your Bexoid lambsfoot and what I always think of as "Dwight's Field of Dreams"!

Had a frozen margarita with lunch yesterday. Not the sort of thing I usually go for, but hey, it was pretty good. 😁

After that we went to a couple local breweries. The first was New Province Brewing in Bentonville, AR. I’ve only been once before, when they first opened a few years ago. I got a flight so I could try a few different things. Left to right was a dry-hopped session ale, a Belgian Wit, an IPA and a pink lemonade sour ale. That last one is just as weird as it sounds! 🤨😁 The rest were ok, but nothing spectacular.

I also tried a small sample of a bourbon barrel aged stout they had. Again, not bad, but nothing to write home about.

Next we went to Rendezvous Junction Brewing Co. in Rogers, AR. These guys brew some pretty solid beers. I had their Doppelbock.

And a hazy APA made with Citra hops that was probably my favorite beer of the day.

So how was the Dopplebock ???
