Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Last night I had my can of IPA for November along with my supper. I think I have one IPA still in the fridge, so I should buy more. I only drink a can or two each month, but lots of people seem to prefer IPAs when they have a beer, so I try to keep some on hand. My daughter and her fiancé are planning to visit in about 4 weeks, and I know that they are IPA fans. (This is an old photo. The current can for Founders Centennial IPA doesn't have the blue color on it. In fact the design is totally different, featuring hops instead of he-man angels.)

Gary, I never met an IPA I didn't like . . . until I did. About eight years ago my taste changed and I can no longer appreciate anything very hoppy. Malty yes, hoppy no. At least it makes my decisions less complicated!

That's interesting, Jeff. I've never developed much of a taste for IPAs, and, like you now, I like the malty brews. Porters and stouts are my favorites, and I've also built up quite a stockpile of Oktoberfest beers during Aug. Sept. Oct. that I can enjoy at least up until the New Year.

So I had to drive 40 min to Moruya for pelvis xrays so chiropracter can see why my hip is painful...then got an hour and a half in dentists chair...then drove back to Narooma and drove the school bus....when I finally got home...I fixed a Manhattan.

I hope it was a productive day for your health. Nice knife and way to unwind.
