Lovely Knot of Vipers!The Vipers
I like the art, but the beer sounds awful. I'm not partial to any of these flavored beers. When I drink beer, I mostly drink Miller Lite because I like the way it tastes, so I'm hardly a beer connoisseurI recently bought a 6-pack of this porter.
Interesting art on the front label:

In the exhaust of the motorcycle is a name somewhat similar to others I've tried before:

The back of the can reveals that the brewery is from Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula. (Alpena is on Thunder Bay on Michigan's east coast, almost directly across the state from Grand Traverse Bay on the west coast.)

In the New International Version of the Bible, Romans 7:19 says: For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
The verse is talking about moral choices, but it applies to my beer-buying decisions, too. I have tried many porters (and stouts) that have some kind of fruit taste (or maple syrup or french toast or bacon or peanut butter), and I NEVER like them as much as a plain porter, or a porter with some combination of vanilla, chocolate, or coffee. So I swear I'll stop trying the fruity ones, but then I buy another one anyway and find out that I STILL don't like fruit-flavored beer!
