Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

An Opinel (thanks, Brett!) feels appropriate when enjoying a glass of the red stuff. Cheers, Alan!

Been strictly carrying one handed openers lately, but this beer scout consistently goes with me when I'm going to have a few. I haven't been here in a while, but love this beer and blade so much, I wanted to drop in.

Mr Charred didn't get to work yesterday with the cans but he still hung out!

Sounds tasty! How'd they turn out?

The acrylic on your beer scout turned out really nicely.

Stout: so much more than a breakfast drink. ;)

Good to see you here. How was that IPA? I'd usually expect those flavors in something darker like a stout or porter.

Glad to see he's doing push ups to stay in shape. ;)

Mine just got outside for some sunshine and a light workout:

The Valentine's drink by is awesome. I love chocolate\coffee porters and stouts which piqued my interest in this one. It starts as an IPA, and finishes with the coffee\choc after taste. Definitely unique.

Good looking charred. That xpa looks interesting. I love their fresh squeezed, and am sure that xpa is a tasty one also.

Thanks. That sounds really good. I'll see if I can still track down a bottle.

The XPA is a fine beer and I'm sure the rest of the 6 pack won't languish neglected in my beer fridge. But, I enjoy their Fresh Squeezed and Pine Drops IPAs better.

If you folks will indulge me one more today, I'm enjoying a treat this afternoon. This #14 TC is very special to me and pairs exquisitely with the last sips of this bottle of Archie Rose Signature Dry Gin that I brought back from a trip my wife and I took to Australia last spring.

I'm not sure if stonebeard still frequents this thread. But I once saw him post this beer a while ago here. I always wanted to try it, though it was never sold here. He even offered to buy and ship it here for me to try. I finally got my hands on a 6 pack, and immediately thought of him. I really like it, especially considering the back story. Guys like him make this place one of the best to hang around in.

^ Looks good

Where is Stonebeard? Hope he's OK :)

StoneBeard (Mike) told me recently that work would be sending him into the desert for 19 days followed by a week in the mountains. I'm assuming that he's out there now, and it might be a bit tough for him to keep up with BF.

All I know is, I'll be sure to enjoy a beverage or two for Mike while he spends ~1 month away from home.
