StoneBeard (Mike) told me recently that work would be sending him into the desert for 19 days followed by a week in the mountains. I'm assuming that he's out there now, and it might be a bit tough for him to keep up with BF.

All I know is, I'll be sure to enjoy a beverage or two for Mike while he spends ~1 month away from home.
Cheers to that [emoji482]. StoneBeard is a stand up.

Thanks for the update.

Jim beam devils cut and sprite to get the cook lit while he gets the fire lit.

Yeah I know it ain't special stuff but it drinks.

My brother and I are sharing an extra hoppy IPA. He brought with him from Oregon. He is in town to celebrate our Grandmother's 90th birthday.

Splendid spread, Paul.

Looking good. What did the lit cook cook atop the lit fire?

I think I've liked every beer from Ninkasi that I have tried. The tricerahops is really good. Happy birthday to your Grandma!

As for me, I'm enjoying pale ale from San Diego this evening.

Naturalist, I thought you meant you knew how to cool that bottle of beer down, but then I realized that that's 39 celsius. That's a scorcher! Glad you found a way to keep cool. :)

Forecast said tomorrow will be worst than today. [emoji28]

I'm enjoying a bit of heat too, after the 'bracing' winter weather in Ireland and Northern England.

After a day spent wandering the backstreets and lanes of old Malacca, a cold lime juice and iced coffee were a perfect way to cool off.

Celebrating my Take the Gold or Open the Box win (thanks again, Jack!) with a Lagunitas Sucks and my Ebony #74 I've been carrying lately. Also, the weather here the last couple days has been fantastic.

About as close to beer as I'm getting at the moment. Old Pondy is patinaring up nicely though:) Gotta love the runt of the litter.

I'm into "old sayings" -I find them handy when lecturing my boys about the dos and don'ts of life.
I say "old" but mostly i make them up on the spur of the moment. I just don't say how old.
They must rhyme so they easy to remember.

Re the evils of alcohol-(don't read too much into that i love the stuff-just verboten for a while)

this saying is approximately 5minutes old -so it IS old

He who drinks and runs away
lives to drink another day.
But he who drinks and punches on
'Tis humble pie he lunches on.

Have to work tomorrow so I have to keep the drinks soft tonight, but there's still nothing better than an ice cold soda in a glass bottle.

Happy Friday everyone !
Cheers [emoji106]
