Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I usually drink 3 or 4 bottles of Killian's each week, but I was astonished a couple of weeks ago when the grocery store didn't have any 12-packs of Killian's in stock. So I bought Samuel Adams Boston Lager as a substitute. I think they have very similar taste and appearance.

Had an Edmund Fitzgerald porter with my supper earlier this week, and actually remembered to take a photo of the can. (I've always had bottles before for this brand.)

I found myself humming Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” several times while we were in Duluth, MN this past weekend. We did enjoy a few beverages while we were there.

Barrett, my daughter and son-in-law, who live in St. Paul, have been to quite a few breweries in northern Minnesota. I can't recall the names of any of them, except they've mentioned Castle Danger more than once (and have worn sweatshirts and/or caps with that name). They did mention that at Castle Danger, people eat fish like it's corn on the cob! 🤓

🤣

Castle Danger was an interesting place. Huge space, especially their outdoor seating area. They don’t do food, but it seems like they usually have at least one food truck outside. The one that was there when we went had an interesting variety — some standard American stuff like burgers, fries and cheese curds, but also tacos, empanadas, egg rolls, and chicken shawarma. The smoked fish we had picked up on our way at an old school side-of-the-road smokehouse on the way up, along with some cheeses a crackers.

It’s good isn’t it? Great for the price point. It’s a little sweet but makes a great dirty martini as a result. 🍸
Dave it is pretty good, pretty smooth. I just add light sparkling water. I'd get it again.
