Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

This IPA is sooooooo good. I'm a junkie for it, when I can get it.

Those voodoo rangers are good stuff. The voodoo imperial IPA is also really good. I found those 6 packs at my local store for 8 dollars as a promotion a little while ago, and am kicking myself for not stocking up. I think they have almost doubled in price now.

Got this in a trade with my buddy Ubahdank by New Glory...Easy drinking west coast IPA. Coming in at 7.2% it's a crisp hoppy taste, smooth bitterness. Made with mosaic hops and used German and American malts. Fruity tastes of orange and other fruits...Will definitely buy again!

P.s. my son's #14 in nifebright snuck in for a pic. again!

Gary, I'm so jealous of your location in relation to Founders and Great Lakes and Bell's I've not been disappointed with any of them.
Thanks, Shawn; I sure like many of those 3 breweries' products, but maybe I don't have much that I compare them too. (Gotta admit that lately I've developed quite a craving for Guinness Extra Stout!)

Founders and Bells produce some great beers! I'm lucky enough to be able to get a wide offering of both down here in Tennessee. Sadly though Edmund Fitz is only available to me when we travel up to the family in Michigan every Christmas. Generally porters and stouts are my choice as well Gary. But when it's hot out the All Day IPA quenches my thirst.

Don't get me wrong, Jake; I almost always have Founders All Day IPA on hand (since I can almost always get a box of 15 cans for under $15), and I MUCH prefer IPA to any of the American lagers I used to drink (such as Milwaukee's Best Light :thumbdn::(). But sometimes I think I evaluate beer with my eyes more than my taste buds: I seem to think darker is better. As noted, porters and stouts are my favorites by far, but I'm a pretty big fan of Killians Red which is a cheap lager at which I ought to turn up my nose, but because of its rich reddish/amber color, I seem to accept as worthy!:eek::D

That is such a great price, its $21 for a 15 pack around here! I re-read my post, apologies that may have come across disagreeable. Not my intention at all, I was meaning to agree with you about porters and stouts over lighter beers. And that was the last one of my pack so I had to put it up quickly before it was all gone :)

Great to see so much interest in Michigan beers! I'll have to try that KSB next.

No worries, Jake. I think I interpreted your post exactly as you intended and appreciated your support of my taste for darker beers. ;)
I was actually responding because I thought maybe I'd given the impression that I hated IPAs, which isn't the case at all.
Good luck with the Kentucky Breakfast Stout - that seems harder to get than new GECs! :D

Number one of three sent by tmd_87. I've been anxiously waiting to finish work to come home to this (I know I have problems). It's an awesome IPA. Not too bitter, but very refreshing and clean. I'm not too good at describing taste, but it is darn good. I would compare it to the stone ripper if anyone is familiar with that. Thanks again Taylor, I'm really glad to have been able to try this after seeing your post about it.

Here is an old pic of a tasty cold beverage with a GEC #15 Beer Scout. Cold drinks in glass bottles with crown caps!

My daughter and I tried some Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer soda over the weekend. Wonderful stuff. It's like drinking butter rum flavored Lifesavers.

I've got some catching up on the forum to do. Might as well sip a drink from my Old Man Drinks book while I do it.

Trying uploading a picture directly from phone. We'll see how it works...

I'm embarrassed by how long it is since I posted in this thread

:o (the new emoticons aren't working for me, so I'm having to put them in as code, and that one doesn't look to be blushing :( )

Man, I do love your pics of these american beer pics.

Being Bavarian, and a passionate beer drinker I really like do drink beer and enjoy it a lot. I have to admit, I´m a Pils drinker, but mostly the very hoppy ones. IPAs are rare here in our part of the world. But I really like the idea of a well brewed IPA. Not a fan of these wheatbeers that are common here.

Gonna get a pic of my favorite beer these days, soon. :)
