Glockinator19 and I agreed on a price for a BNIB Reeve Umnumzaan a few weeks back and I paid the same day. He did not ship the knife and seemingly disappeared. Finally after a week, he responded to email, stating that he'd had a family emergency. We even traded a couple of messages back and forth about him being behind on 4 other deals, and that he was taking care of business once again. The email conversation ended with him saying he had shipped the Reeve Umnum and even threw in a "freebie" to help apologize... that was a week and a half ago and still no knife. Thanks Tyler. Real classy.:thumbed:

Thankfully Paypal returned the funds to my account, but after speaking with another forum member who almost got taken by Tyler around the same time, i wanted forum members to know Glockinator19 is not reliable. More importantly, it's clear that he's dishonest. He continues to be active on the forum and seems to be heavy on trading. Be careful folks... steer clear.

If you've also had strange dealings with him, feel free to post your experience.

I should add that I have emailed several times, and most recently even left him a voicemail a couple days ago, and other than the email exchange on the 20th have not gotten A single response from him.

Well, hopefully your knife shows up, and you can resend the funds.

Seems to have decent feedback, but it's happened before.

Smart to use paypal! Protection is key.

Moved to Feedback. We (Supermods/Mods) decide who makes the hall of shame. A single or even a couple of instances of poor behavior is not enough. We require a proven track record of one miserable failure to honor their word, failure to communicate, failure to deliver, failure to pay, basically an undeniable record of of act of thievery or deception after another.
This section will work for your ends. Make sure you send the other person a copy of this thread so they may reply. and follow the guidelines:

At least you paid the correct way so you end up losing nothing material in the end.

There's no lesson here beyond making sure that if things go south you can get your $ back, and PP is well worth the cost for doing business on the interwebs with people you don't know.

Thanks for the heads up.....

He's in my thread, he posted in it and I addressed him publicly mods if I did something wrong my apologies

Hello all.
So this is what happened to me:
Glockinator19 had a new Umnumzaan in the trading forums, I made an offer on 3-12 and he accepted on 3-13. Addresses were swapped and I asked him a question about insurance on the package (also on 3-13) and I got a reply on 3-14 that it would be best to wait until later in the week or possibly the weekend to ship it as a family member was ill and he had to leave the state for a week.
As I'm not entirely an idiot, I wasn't about to ship off my end of a swap with that being the final correspondence, so I waited until 3-22 to do a little research and found that on 3-13 he posted "Gone..." in his for sale thread and had been active for the time that he said he would be gone. I emailed him with no response and then contacted the person whom I assumed was the member that Glockinator19 had agreed to sell to. After discovering that it was paid for before he agreed to my trade conditions I feel that Glockinator is an attempted scammer. I emailed him again asking him for an explanation on 3-26 and still haven't heard back from him even though he has been active up until two days ago in forum posts.

Care to defend yourself publicly, Tyler?

Right this can't be stressed enough

Has he reached out to you David??
Glad you didn't send that knife!! Another added to the ever growing ignore list.

The whole thing is very strange. Until this episode, Glockinator19 had done a dozen deals with positive feedback, and seemed active and responsible. I've made him aware of this thread and volunteered to wrap this up, if he would contact me and discuss to reach a mutually agreeable conclusion. But he has so far been silent and seems to be avoiding any communication... as if that's going to help? His resumed activity here on the forum flies in the face of a "suspended life" due to family emergency (or at least, the emergency has passed), and so why would he go dark on communications with david555 and I ? Hopefully none of the other folks he was doing business with at the time of his meltdown, got snared in this seemingly brief period of crookedness.

That sucks. I did a deal with Tyler about a month ago or so. It was a trade & I requested he send knives to me first since he didn't have much in the way of feedbacks. It went very smoothly & deal was completed to both our satisfaction. I left positive feedback for him. I hate to see this happen, & hope against hope that somehow this turns out well. But after reading through this thread, I won't hold my breath. WTF Tyler?

I;ve done a trade with Tyler and it went fine. Then again, I did ask him to ship first so there's that.

Glad it turned out ok in the end.
