Beware of Glockinator19 - Tyler Dewitt

I just read both threads, and perhaps they should be combined?

It's hard to say what's really going on, but things aren't really adding up.

Easier to put another name on the ignore list then to take a chance with someone who can't really answer some simple questions....

Good idea, mprobaboy cannot hurt things anymore at this point.

I sit here, just shaking my head and chuckling.... Sure enough, the Umnumzaan arrived in today's mail. I'm stunned. Tyler, you need to PM, call or email me.

This is certainly a head scratcher! I couldn't imagine having a thread like this going on about me AND having a relatively expensive knife in limbo and not be ready available for communication.

I hope this is "GOOD" news, Dave? So you have your money back, & the Zaan?

That was a horrific accident that Tyler was involved in. I read the comments in that article; one young girl lost her father, & another young girl's uncle, is in critical condition, paralyzed.

Whether Tyler, was seriously injured or not, that had to be a very traumatic accident to experience. I hope that you're feeling ok, Tyler. I for one, am hoping that everything works out in the end, & that Tyler turns out not to be a scammer.

Edit:

^ I agree.

If I remember correctly, Tyler had stated that he was also taken to the hospital. He could've very easily suffered a concussion, so some other serious related injury... His work vehicle was the one that was struck, by the motorist that was fatally injured, so it had to be a pretty significant collision.

Hopefully, Tyler will weigh in here when he's able, with an explanation.

glad everything ended up getting where it needed to go. I hope and pray everyone heals and continues to support each other.

still waiting for my knives...

You may need to start your own thread about what happened to you so the facts can be ascertained. It would seem that Glockinator19 is somewhat challenged in a variety of ways and it may be asking too much for him to address your complaint at the bottom of page 4 of a this thread.

Most of the knives ended up where they were supposed to be eventually, after Glockinator was publicly called out for being dishonest. If I had sent my end of the trade for the Umnumzaan that was previously purchased by mxdave, who would have received the Umnumzaan?

Reading the GB&U regularly might lead one to hypothesize that selling knives on BF increases one's chances of being in a terrible car accident. Please--once your knife has sold, be extra cautious when getting behind that wheel and always buckle up.

This is really scaring me. Wish I had done more of a search on this fella. I have a trade going and have not received my knife yet, and he is not responding to my emails. I have done a lot of dealings on BF now and this is the first one that is not going well. Anyone has another advice on how to proceed on this? My fault for not looking completely into his background here on BF I guess, it just sucks that he is still out there making deals.

When I saw this thread and that most of the posts were made in April of this year, I wondered what happened to bring this post up again. When I looked through it, I was surprised to see that I had made a post above because I don't remember making it. I then went to my ignore list and saw that Glockinator19 was on it, no doubt because of this thread.

In an increasingly complex world, we are asked to remember more and more all the time. More appointments, more passwords, more everything. The ignore list is a great way to use a modern tool to make your life a little bit easier. I am not judging Glockinator19 one way or the other; I have neither the time nor the desire to figure out the answer to "why"? The ignore list just makes things a whole lot easier.

I hope your trade works out. I know it's not much consolation but if it does not please at least create a new post here so that more folks will see that there is an issue.

Well you know 99% of the time you have to drive to the post office.😄
On a seriouse note hope it works out for ya.

I just finished a trade with Glockinator19 (Tyler). It went flawlessly. I was worried because I didn't see this thread until the knives were in transit. Extremely odd. May the knives end up where they should.

I'll let you guys know how it turns out. The mods are looking into it for me, but i'll just chalk it up to a learning experience. Thankfully it was just a Sage 5 and not something more. I just hope his days of trading here are done.
