BF survival forum knife.

Here is what I got from Ken today on price. Prices seem very reasonable to me.

$70 for blade alone $140 for wood handle and sheath(either pins, pins with thong hole, or loveless bolts and a thong hole) the handles are drilled for pins, loveless bolts and a hole for a thong tube. price includes shipping within the US, Canada and overseas may cost a bit more.

Prices are for either of these styles, but then we'll need to add in the $ for two more(one for Spark, and one for auction) and approximately $60 for a stamp reading BF W&S 07 I'll number them with an engraver. Overall though, for 30 orders, that comes in at about $11 per person.

I have the handles on, I used some curly maple I had on hand, however, I didn't have any tubing, so I placed an extra pin where it would have gone. I will get my wife to take pics as soon as shee gets home today

I like the drop point myself. What kind of wood was going to be put on there. i would do the handles myself but I am lazy.

I want just the bare blades but I'll tell you that price with scales is a deal.

Go on ebay and type in Woodlore and look at the prices

I will take a Scandi: 4:blade, 3 3/4"cutting, 1/4"ricasso 8 1/4 oa, 1" wide 1/8"thick. for $140 with curly maple handle and sheath loveless bolts and a thong hole. Can I get a lefty sheath.

I'm going to call Ken later this week and work out how he wants the orders to be taken. We need to try and make it as easy as possible. I'll probably start a new thread on the "how" late this week, or early next.

Thanks for such a quick reply, I PM'ed you about that also.

Thanks for helping with this project:thumbup:

Just got off the phone with Ken. Here is a link to the finished knives and pics of the sheath. http://www.ironwolfonline.com/images/bfblades/

Ken is gong to take some time to think on how best to take the orders. I might be helping him out with this, and may recruit a few to help out with this.

Ken mentioned that it will take around 2-4 months to complete the orders, and will send them out all at once so he is not having to camp out in the post office.

Also, we will come up with time limit (2-4 weeks seems fair) to get your deposit in (between $50-$75) so Ken can buy materials, and your order is a REAL one. One thing we do not want is too many people bailing out at $$$ time because it will screw up the donation $$$ for the stamp and Sparks knives. So make sure your confident about your order before you send your deposit in.

Sheath will be leather, those of you that may want Kydex should contact Normark at onscenetactical for a custom kydex sheath. He is one of the best in the business.

More details to come tomorrow.

Awesome! Nice finished pieces, Ken!

I completely forgot about the deposit notion. Being able to spread the cost of a completed knife across two payments (deposit and final payment) will allow me to afford a handled knife. Yippee!

I know this thread is old as hell but I just bought the NWA BF Survival knife 2nd hand the other day from here! Cant wait to get it home and start putting it through its paces. Was wondering if anyone else on here is still using theirs and their experience!? I hear Nick at NWA is making a comeback as well!?

We did one a few years back, made by Dan Koster and co-designed by Kevin Estela and myself. It was little necker. If I can find pics I will post. Mine got stolen with a bunch of other knives and things a few years back.

Would be cool to do a newer one that is more of a all-around wilderness blade. Maybe 4-5" range.
