BF W&S knife Ironwolf list

My order looks good.

Glad to hear that the Scandi grind will be with an extended edge.

I'll see what I can do, it may be monday before I can get on again though. So far I have all of the blades profiled and drilled. about 2/3rds have had the tang tapered so far. I have also started slabbing out the wood for the handles.

Ken,
Thanks for the update, I too would love to see some knife in progress pictures.

Thanks - Ron

Ironwolf?

Any luck on the in progress pictures?? Also you said in your previous post you were tapering some of the tangs????

I'm not sure I can successfuly put scales on a tapered tang. Can I specify that I want non tapered???

Since the knives are 1/8" steel I don't see that the tangs are gonna be too heavy anyway.

This may have been answered in one of the other threads on the Ironwolf BF W&S knives, but what is the guesstimated ship date? Not looking for a hard set-in-stone date, plus or minus a month would be fine.

We are looking at Set-Oct-Nov time frame from what was talked about at the start of this project.

I haven't seen him on in a while, hopefully he's too busy working on these :) I'd love to see any update pics though, especially with Micarta scales.

I'm sure Ken is just very busy. I'll send him an email to check in with him and report back.

OK Guys I sent Ken an email and a pm. I know he has to travel some for his job, so lets give him a few days. :) Like tknife said, he is probably just very busy right now.

Here is the email I recieved from Ken.

I know that I have been off the forums for a while, I am running around so
much I haven't been getting much time on the internet. The ren faire
circuit is in full swing(11 out of the last 13 weekends, and 7 out of the
next 8)

Despite that, I am plugging away in my shop. I am still aiming for a
september/october release not nov/dec, as I want to finish this project
before I go deer hunting. Since I bowhunt, the season starts in
september.

I will see what pictures Christel has taken, once I can convince her to
track them down. I know she has at least three or four decent pics. They
are however shuffeled in between horse shows and senior pictures(she is a
photographer)

I am sorry if I have kept anyone hanging, I don't mean to be a recluse, I
just get involved in my work.

Ken Nelson

ps. feel free to pass this on, I'll be heading back to work as soon as I
get some food down my throat.
