.... Ordinarily a cheapskate, I am willing to stand the expense on this one, as it could be a last chance for a self-indulgent splurge.
I like the way you rationalize.

Maniago Viper does some amazing Horn WOW! If this is the manufacturer we are using they sure know how to get the most from their horn!
I have never seen stabilized juniper used for knives. Juniper is naturally very durable.
......never seen a stabilised Juniper handle in m’ life - all stable, all as fragrant as ever
It’s not just their olfactory qualities, they also have wonderful grain and aesthetics
Stabilized Juniper for knife scales would unfortunately lose its beautiful fragrance due to the chemicals used in stabilization.
Voted not knowing if this is going to be open for international (Canadian) orders. I asked in the last thread but no answer, I looked through but couldn’t find it mentioned. Perhaps I missed it, lots of pages. CK doesn’t ship to Canada ordinarily but I’m hoping they will for the forum knife..?
I think it is very unfair and not in the spirit of the forum knife that many members say:
“If the covers are made of “x” I will not buy.”
This is a terrible threat point, very inappropriate, and if enough people refuse to purchase due to an aesthetic preference we will likely not have any forum knife.
Wow, Nice PS work!!Guess I'll work alphabeticallyFirst one up...Amboyna wood
I'll do what I can today and whatever is left tomorrow

Good idea.Maybe this should be a separate thread, or maybe it won't go anywhere, but what about a short but poignant etch?
Have "BLADEFORUMS 2020" but then under it maybe something like...
"Never Give Up"
"United"
"Stay Strong"
Or something like that. Just a thought.
