+1. No rush. Get 'em in the mail the week after Christmas and it's likely the part time help will still be working at the PO, thus providing for their speedy delivery. :)

EA42 might want to order up a bunch of the free VHS sized priority mail boxes, and use click and ship (if his printer would handle it). Top that off with some free carrier pick-up, and he won't even need to leave his house. :cool:

Ok, I've got some good news, and I've also got a request which I'll explain after the good news so you're all in a good mood;):D
I spoke with Canal Street Friday,the knives are in the process of being laser etched and should be ready sometime this week. I had to make a slight change to the etch as the script just didn't show up well at all. The part that read "...orums.com" was generally a big drawn out blob, so I opted for a fancy print that shows up much better. I'll try to post a pic of the proto. image as soon as I figure out how to turn it from a rastered image that isn't recognized into a jpeg image.
As soon as they're ready, I'll start sending them out, so hopefully some, or most of you will be receiving them before 2008!
Now for the request. It seems that I made an error in the price due to the fact that I have to pay NY state tax on the order. This is something that , for reasons beyond me, never crossed my mind. I really should have known, and was going to eat the cost for my stupidity, but it really comes out to quite a bit of money. At 8% tax the total tax is $470! Here's my request, and again I apologize for my oversite; Broken down to a per knife cost, it comes to $8.00 per knife, so if any of you can send me an additional $8, I'd sure appreciate it. I'm not demanding it, and I'm not holding any knives for ransom,(they'll ALL be sent out as soon as I get them), but if I can at least get a few payments it would sure ease the burden on my wallet.Again I sincerely apologize, and I feel like a complete dolt for not taking it into account from the beginning.
I'll let you all know when they arrive, and perhaps I'll post a pic of one if you'd like (or I could just keep it a surprise 'till you get yours).

Of course I will deliver my $8 in person so I can help you box up the knives and get them sent out. We can play kissy-face and huggy-bod after the knives are sent. Or, maybe after each knife is boxed up?

Option number two it is! And I ain't gonna tell Giggy Rambo nuttin' about the boxing up stuff. And I know no one else here would ever tell him either!

And Eric, you should NOT have to cover any additional costs. Right, guys? I believe Gus posted a few days ago about how he ended up being out a small amount of $$$, but the satisfaction of getting the knives to everyone more than made up for it. Why can't you have that same satisfaction without having to cover the additional?
