BFC 2007 Canittler is ordered!

Ok folks, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, I was just waiting on some solid info before I posted anything. I spoke with CS today re. the knives but I think I caught them at a super busy time as I could hardly hear anything over the sound of the grinders and hammers. I'm supposed to hear back in the next day or two with a preliminary date. I promise I'll let you know as soon as I hear something. Last update I got was that they had cut all their own Ivory (and apparently it stunk up the whole place), and they had sent it out to Arizona or New Mexico (I can't remember which), for stabilization. Please understand that we have a very popular new pattern for our knife and had several orders ahead of ours (Wolverine's MOP, A.G.'s stag, and a green jigged bone for I'm not sure who are three that I know of), as well as the initial rollout of the pattern itself, so they were backed up a bit.

Eric

Thanks for the update. It sounds like it is going to be a great knife.

OK folks, word is that the knives will be ready sometime in December. They're waiting for the handles to come back from the stabilizers, and should be starting on the knives when they're returned. Just wanted to let you know in case you planned on using it for Thanksgiving turkey;). Hang in there just a couple more months!

Eric

Nice! All I'm hoping for is that the knives start rolling in by the time my birthday comes around. From what I've seen here and there on the interweb, this is likely to be one great knife.

Much thanks again for dealing with all this, Eric.

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.

December is not that far away. I am betting we can make it. :D.
Eric, if I can lend a hand let me know.

Any volunteers to head up next years choice and order yet. :D.

Wow, Eric, I do not envy you running this thing. :)

Hopefully we get it before the pattern is announced for the '08 forum knife!

Thank You for posting that link Peter.
That sure is a good looking knife!!
Can't wait :D

One more month to go folks (I hope!!!!). I'm all set to do some packin'! Just got a ram's horn Founder's Day canittler, I'll post some pics as soon as I get my camera back, nice knife!

Eric

PS- I think I'm OK so far Gus, if my hands get too bloodied from the impossible to operate packing tape dispenser, I'll call for back-up.:D:D Thanks for the offer!

Going to the P.O. at this time of the year with 50+ boxes is not going to be fun. I got to spend a heck of a lot of time there last year and it was not even in December.:eek::eek:

No news yet madcap. Gus, I'll probably get the call a week before Christmas just so I can enjoy the added onslaught of folks sending holiday packages. if you see a postmark from some tiny little town that isn't even on the map, you'll know why;):D:D

lol, thanks for checking back with us Eric. Maybe you can send them right after Christmas and get them out right after the rush.

One thing I've learned about custom production, they'll get here when they get here.

Thanks for all you've done so far.

Eric, if the call comes around Xmas, I vote you send them after the new year rings in. No point in fighting the holiday hoards.
