BFC 2007 Canittler is ordered!

Ok ea42, I always get jumpy when I have something in the works, im just excited. If I haven't said it yet, thanks for all you have done with this project.

Any word on when these might be ready?? The wait is killing me.

I bet Christmas and your birthday really tore you up as a kid.:D

The best thing to do is like they say on the Sopranos, Fergitaboudit, so many people drove themselves to the point of complete insanity on the last one they started annoyin'.

So far everyone's been great, especially ea42, they'll be here soon enough.

ea42, thanks for all you've done so far,
:thumbup::D:thumbup:

When is the 2008 going to be chosen:D

Didn't fancy this year's pattern so much so that's why I'm impatient:thumbup:

Be good to see a pic of one when it does come out though, thanks.

Colog,

No word yet but I don't expect to see them until at least early October. It's generally a three month wait for these orders. I'll post here as soon as I hear anything.

Eric

Say Eric, I don't seem to be on the list in the first post, but I did paypal you back in May for it. Am I still on, or what's going on?

Thanks!

madcap,
PM me your paypal ID, it's a lot easier for me to look it up that way. (Never mind, see post #67 below)

Today I was up at the AG Russell shop and got to handle a Canal Street Canittler in D2 and stag. Man, it had a real good feel to it. Great grinds and super sharp. I'll bet the ones we are getting here are gonna be terrific.

Wooohoooo! :D

Man would I love to visit that shop! (Although my wallet wouldn't be too happy once I left!):D:D.

Madcap- All's well, I take full responsibility for that oversight. Glad you brought it to my attention now or I would have been out a knife:o.
I should be hearing from Joe next week some time. I'll post a status report once I hear from him.

Eric

PS -Judy, hope you had a good rest;):D

Eric, I'll tell you something...you almost had me worn out this weekend. I don't know how long I could have lasted in those 5" heels. Glad we were able to agree that full payment had been made. You are quite a man!!! ;)

Thanks for posting the updates! I'd totally forgotten that I'd ordered one and paid for it... I woulda been out a hundred bucks if you hadn't posted regular updates!

I'd entirely forgotten about this knife. Thanks for the reminder.

No problem madcap. I had your payment info all along, just overlooked it somehow. I would have come across it when I started sending the knives out, had a caniption fit, and then sent you mine. At which point I'd be very sad:(:D

I'll give Joe a try again tomorrow as to a possible target date. BTW, I was barely able to get them madcap's order in time to adjust the etch, so it'll read 1 of 68 now.

Eric

I wonder if the Canittler will be here in time to open the Halloween candy? Or maybe in time to carve the Thanksgiving turkey? Or at least in time to slice the Christmas ham?

If it's here in time to cut the band on the 1/1/2008 champaign bottle we'll have 2 reasons to celebrate :) It's all good :p

Just curious if you heard anything? Even if it is bad news, at least it is news.

Ok folks, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, I was just waiting on some solid info before I posted anything. I spoke with CS today re. the knives but I think I caught them at a super busy time as I could hardly hear anything over the sound of the grinders and hammers. I'm supposed to hear back in the next day or two with a preliminary date. I promise I'll let you know as soon as I hear something. Last update I got was that they had cut all their own Ivory (and apparently it stunk up the whole place), and they had sent it out to Arizona or New Mexico (I can't remember which), for stabilization. Please understand that we have a very popular new pattern for our knife and had several orders ahead of ours (Wolverine's MOP, A.G.'s stag, and a green jigged bone for I'm not sure who are three that I know of), as well as the initial rollout of the pattern itself, so they were backed up a bit.
