Yep - still available. I just called Buck's 'Store' - the 800# Ext 3 Option 4 - and good old Pete answered! Where doesn't he work there? I neglected to ask re the cost in October - it was $125 - then $150 - then $125 - then $110 through today, at least. Add $10 s/h. The 'snakeskin' pattern on the G10 is interesting... my user (This will be my second!) may have it sanded/polished smooth. Or - my older son may have a great Christmas/Birthday present. He's a 'captain' (pilot) for a large Alabama/southeast bank that dropped 41% yesterday... may need a 'pick me up' (Or another job!) soon. It's a heck of a knife - BG-42 blade - nickel silver bolsters. Neat presentation box, if you need a great gift.

Pete said they had 'plenty' of them - however many that is. Maybe we now know where that Custom Shop BG-42 went!

PS Third possibility... I mess up the sanding & polishing - give my son 'that one'... gosh, i'm a jerk!

Go see 'Pics of G10 handled 110, please' thread - post #46 (9/25 - MWallace) on pg 3 - great photo!

I'm lazy.

I wish you guys would stop posting about the this particular knife and its availability. The temptation is becoming overwhelming...I am weak...please stop...

The UPS man came yesterday evening with a package. Yep, my two G-10s were in it. Really Nice knife!!!! If you’re a 110 aficionado….man you should consider this one. The possibility of this being the very last of the BG-42 Buck produces and the fact that it’s a 1 of 200 knife is simply (for me) irresistible.

I like 'em.

I just sent an E-mail to Pete, about placing order for one of those!
Let see!The USPS might knock on my door soon!

nope you dont ...
it is called a BCCI knife as they were made for the BCCI 20 year meeting
but did not sell well during that time..
had they had high contrast from the red micarta to the black G10
more likely to not be any..
the G10 is durable but dont look as good as red or black micarta ,
its like Carbon Fiber, sounds wonderfull as a inlay...
but most CF dont look that good..

Yeah - you need some light to see the difference between the two equal thickness layers - the outter black G10 and the inner red/black Micarta. The outter G10 also has a thick striped pattern perpendicular to the knife's length. Not so pretty, but aids the grip. I have a fairly slick black G10 handle on my Bark River '07 LE North Star - and got a paper-cut like injury the first time I used it - my hand slipped (I was lucky... it could have been worse!). That makes me rethink polishing the sides of the new 110. Heck, it's a neat knife any way you 'cut' it!

The lady at the store wanted my BCCI # for the first one - Pete didn't ask for the second one. That reminds me... I need to send them (BCCI) some moola. That knife wouldn't have been made just for anyone.

Probably you all right!I did not get reply to my E-mail from Pete!
Looks like have to mail to Joe regarding this matter,hi always reply!
So the USPS knocking posponded!!!

i took my G10 (closed) and laid it over a open Damascus blade one ten..
wow what a diffreance
that would make one hell of a good looking high tech looking knife!
thoes of you that have one .. try it.. ;)

Oh, oh, oh and oh my. Better than a diamond. Stunning beauty.

I received the nickel silver/G10/BG42 beauty today.

Just getting into the packaging I realized that I should be wearing gloves for this one. It feels like Christmas and my Birthday all in one.

The gold thread on the black box, the cross-hatch pattern on the G10, the bright silvery rich blade and bolsters and frame all make me think of what a treasure this custom knife is. Thank you kindly Buck. Thanks a million.

It is already in the display case in a place of honor.

I ordered one of these this afternoon. After reading so much about this knife, and the fact it could be the last of the BG42, I decided I really needed one. 7-10 days shipping to the east coast :o

I took my first one - in my back pocket - to the range again yesterday. Another S&W revolver nut was there - we traded stories - again - re Buck 110s. We agreed that the regular $25 110 from Wally World was darn near perfect. He recalled my custom shop 110s - including the teardrop Damascus with flaming Koa scales and nickel silver bolsters - and the one with fg's in the jigged water buffaloe scales, BG-42, and nickel silver. His favorite was the BG-42/G10-Micarta, he said. I pulled it from my pocket - he looked it over, pronounced it my best. We talked today - he chastised me for carrying it! It should be a display knife! Well, I now have a second one coming.

You know, he was right - whether a Christmas Collector's Tin on closeout for $8-$11 or a regular 110 for $25, the basic one is super as a knife... this one is extra super, of course!

These poor photos don't do the knife justice.

In the hand, turning and flashing in natural light, feeling the weight, the smoothness, the potential cutting ability and the praiseworthy craftsmanship I feel...excited. It goes back into the display case until I calm down some.

Called in and ordered one with Pete this morning. He said there were about 80 left. Hmmm... maybe I should have gotten another...
