BG-42 G10/rd/blk Micarta 110 still available!

Wow - great pics! I am happy to have picked up 2 of these. Your pics, esp. that 3rd one, make it seem one can reach out and grab that 110. I think I have a new desktop background!

The UPS guy was on my stoop at 6 PM Friday with my replacement - and it's perfect - thanks Pete M. & Joe H.. A blast with some RemOil delivered no residue, a good omen. Easy opening, good secure lock, reasonable unlock - got even better with the RemOil. Shaver, too. Into the display cabinet, while my original one goes to the desk for the morning's EDC requirements. Yeah, I'm happy! Great bargain - great company.

I really don't know about use as an EDC - it's too pretty! Of course, I said that about the very first 110 I ever bought - and again when I put a closeout-priced ($11) collector's tin 110 in my pocket. I'll succumb - it is a knife and made to be toted - and used. I've paid a lot more for brand new S&W revolvers and had the same thoughts re nastifying them. Hmmm, I got over that and repeatedly made them filthy as can be... there is hope for use of this beautiful knife as EDC!

I called Buck this AM to place an order and was told to call back Monday. Monday I have to work - maybe I can call from the classroom? I want one of those for a steak knife.

Pete starts early so give it a try first thing. And yea, that Bg42 works like a champ on a Cracker Barrel chicken fried steak. My brother looked at me funny for a minute...then said "nice knife"
 
I sliced a whole ham for dinner last evening with my G10/BG42. It did a wonderful job... just occurred to me that I should have taken a pic!
 
I just ordered 2 yesterday. I'm very happy to have gotten in under the wire. I'm still a little bummed, however, I was planning on ordering another custom 110 from the shop w/BG 42, but was putting it off. Had I known they were being discontinued... Oh well, good knives, that's for sure!
 
I called Buck and ordered one of these today. It will be my first new folder in around five years. I had never dealt with the Buck shop before, and Pete? was very helpful and friendly.

Thanks to everyone who kept bumping this thread, I would have been really sorry had I missed out. :)
 
I gotta get this done tomorrow. I've been "at work" at the wrong times. -I want a personal EDC steak knife.-

I talked to Terry and got my PMO in the mail today.

I was going through my drawers and found a two dot I'd bought on the 'bay so many years ago and kinda forgot about it. There is a big chip out of one of the scales and the blade has been ground down on a grinding wheel. I hate to see that happen to a knife.

Both my granddaughters have picked out there 112 for when I pass on...Brittany gets the 600.00 early 'Lacy' DY !! Good eye girl ! Buy as many Buck customs as you like,they are a great legacey..
 
I am so excited about getting mine, I feel like a school girl. I have a gift certificate for El Gaucho's (steak house) and am waiting till I get mine before I go. You know, I saw a custom Damascus, buffalo horn at the gun show Sat. and I like the looks of this knife a lot more. I'll still order a buffalo horn, though.
 
What happened to the 110 NS BG-42 G-10 Micarta Liner that the gent was trying to sell for $799.00? Anyone know?
