well from what we have heard over time from joe part of is
that many of the steels were in short supply and not a steady ariveal like every two weeks..
so if they use a lot of exotics on re do's then the custom shop gets short on supply..
kinda sorta =>=>
"i ordered a bg42 on a NEW Custom Shop Knife and did not get it because mr. X got an up grade!!!!
and then a kinda sorta =>=>
i sent a knife in for a bg42 up grade and i did not get it 'cause mr. Y ordered a full custom!!!!

and each is then mad at JOE and grown mem crying and bitching in a public forum that they did not get what they wanted and mad an bad mouthing Buck over it in a known knife coumeanty!!!!!!

he came on here and tryed to answer every thing ....
he has other work besides playcateing complainers and whinners

customer relations is NOT a sole job of complant department!!!

he has to deal with other customers... big customers.... like cabbles, smkw, outfitters, and yes big K and wally...

but yet here he is HERE.. concerned that a single order of ONE customer on his ONE knife
is mad cause he got s30v (a dammm good steel on par with bg42) instead of the other...

every one of you need to be HappY that a VICE Presadent of a company would take the time to address the concerns of jest ONE customer with ONE knife....
EVEN if that one PERSON is not you that day or even the next day...
is it not good enught that at least there is an effort made to try ????

try that with SMKW and see if the vice pres will answer your email!!!
try that with case...
or any other internationa knife company...
try it with Puma on an internationa setting
if you do come back here and let me and every else here know
that you got a vice pres of an international to
take time to answer you personaly...
and not with a forum letter with a rubberstampsig!

esp one you know well enught to call by his first name
and that he knows your friends here well enught to call them by
NAME and say hi buddy....

one that you know well enught to call friend ....

i am going to start a thread with this
so if you got comment look for it there and
post your opion there ,,, support your friendly knife maker
or bitch and take your lumps...

I'm not sure if this unintelligble rant is at me, but I ordered and paid for bg-42, was shipped a knife stamped ats-34 with an invoice saying bg-42 and my multiple emails were ignored...I am not bitching just voicing my displeasure over the customer service.
On another note there are many online dictionaries you should try (search google) since English doesn't appear to be your primary language.:)

...Actually...after you've been here a while you CAN understand what Dave is typing...Tossing in whatever knowledge you have concerning Buck knives or about "tinkering" on 'em doesn't hurt too much either...

Wow...that was hurtful and uneccessary Superdave1.

You have a lot of peeps that agree with you in that one should be notified if a switch is going to be made. Did you thank them for their support, comment on their eloquent verbiage, well versed grammar, or precise spelling?

Maybe you don't have the decoder ring but Dave doesn't deserve that crap.

I don't think my remarks are arrogant, if anything the rant was inappropriate or perhaps out of order, my displeasure is with the lack of email response from the company but thanks for your reply.:foot:

So Buckaholic you are saying that my comment was hurtful? I am sorry that my sarcasm would cause him pain or discomfort, and I apolige for offending anyone with my comments. Since I didn't 'bitch,cry nor bad mouth Buck on this nor any other forum or "coumeanty" he must have been referencing the other posters, once again sorry for the "crap" I gave him.

...Jim...I gotta tell ya...I haven't been able to get through to Buck by phone except for one time only...Lord knows I've tried it few more times than that...If there is something going on with their phone service in Idaho, that is something that could be addressed fairly easily...Joe is quite busy yet he will answer my emails...It sometimes takes a while but he does it. The phone system is another matter. That should be handled by their provider as it surely limits or eliminates a number of "Custom" orders...If we aren't getting through I'm sure others are experiencing the same problem...

I fully understand this Darryl!!!! I really do, but my point is going on BF doesnt really solve anything. Sure joe may read it eventually but these guys are referring to their emails not being replied to, then call Buck, call them again,
call them again, email isnt the only option.
Also everyone doesnt have Joes email, if these guys post on BF they are readily available to JOES email, email joe. PM joe...
You are all welcome to come and use my phone when you're in the area :D

Well, you are probably right in that you didn't mean to be hurtful. More importantly, I should've heeded my own advice and minded my own business. But there's a tight crew here that I have learned to respect for their knowledge and it was tough to keep my fingers off the keyboard.
So, as it pertains to my two cents, I apologize for getting into your biz.
 
...I'm thinkin' of puttin' out a bucket for all those .02 ...Maybe I can buy a Burlwood 532 eventually...:p :p
