awesome.
Great pics.

these things are some of the best choppers ever.

OK honest now how long did it take :)

20 minutes. This log would have been too much for my other choppers.

That's very interesting. I'm really looking forward to getting back home in a couple weeks and then being able to compare the WTF to my NMFBM and MOAB.

You could totally summon the Thundercats with that blade

OK quick question for bg wtf owners.

Could you measure:

Blade thickness at the spine
Blade thickness at the edge where the coating stops
The HEIGHT of the saber grind, from where the coating stops to where the grind begins?

Gotta trig this baby out. I haven't been this excited to do math in weeks!

Hmmm --- we might just have the new supreme Busse chopper on our hands here. I figured that at .28 inches thick --- this thing would obliterate.

The question is --- which reigns supreme??

MOAB vs BGWTF
NMFBM vs BGWTF
TTKZ vs BGWTF
MOABOLO vs BGWTF
CSWTF vs BGWTF

Future Matchups

HOGNOSE WAR SWORD vs BGWTF vs B13 CG

My WTF is several hundred miles away, but from memory:

Blade thickness at the spine - Nice and thick
Blade thickness at the edge where the coating stops - Pretty thin
The HEIGHT of the saber grind, from where the coating stops to where the grind begins? - Looooong way

Divide the thickness by the width and multiple by 60 to get the included angle

Thickness/width x 60 = included angle

Nice and thick/ a long way x 60 = WTF?

I cant believe the size of that log... pretty crazy

Timmy,

I just measured and got an average of .037 in behind the edge, .295 in along the spine, and right about 2.3 in height of the saber grind, measured at what I've found to be the sweet spot on mine (which was 4.8 in up the actual edge, where the finger choil stops and the cutting edge begins.)

At least, those are the measurements to the best of my abilities and my inexpensive calipers. Hope that was helpful. I've only been really getting into knives over the last year. If it sounds like those are not correct, my apologies. Always open to constructive criticism.

Gnite!

Awesome work man!

I am waiting for some free time to go clear a spot in the back woods for a bush craft camp I plan to train my daughter in over the next 15-18 years. The WTF will play a big part in that but I have to admit that I'd have probably grabbed the Husky Rancher [emoji846]

I wanted to know what the knife was capable of, she had a weekend of hell and overall is still in sweet shape. Still factory edge no damage at all, still slices paper, only some coating has worn off. I am disappointed about the coating part, I thought I would have worn more off of it off by now but damn that coating sticks. No gloves required, big +PLUS+ there.
