following the CS WTF shipments, there were a few on the exchange.. have any BG WTF blades been seen on the exchange yet?

Sorry! Didn't mean to try anything that isn't allowed. I'm checking the exchange constantly looking for one. I didn't mean to break any rules.
 
Got the email today! Mine will be here Friday. Man it is going to be a long week (but one day shorter now).

Oh it was sharp, but I had to put a mirror edge on it today.





It's hard to get all of it in frame.



Oiled up the canvas.

Nice! That looks hair popping sharp! I can almost hear the reflection! How did you accomplish that?
Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to get that kinda of shine. You should shave with that thing. Then you could change your handle to Iamthelumberjack!

I use an edge pro sharpening system up to 1000grit then use 3000 grit polishing tape. They are half the cost of a wicked edge and I have sharpened tons of steels including s110v and they all have that nice reflection. It took about two knives to figure it out, but if your grinding pattern goes; up and down, 45deg up towards the left, 45 degrees up to the right, then left to right; the mirror finish starts to show at 600 grit.

The WTF barely fit but it was still a breeze.

What kind of oul did you use for the handle ? Dies it grip any worse ? Or just looks darker ?
